mk II octavia vrs issues

Recommended Posts

Hi all. So far this year I have spent a small fortune on my octavia and was wondering if that is normal for the skoda. Just this week I have a power steering light on,abs, tyre pressure and ESP lights on. Apart from the PAS light are the others connected to a sensor in the wheel bearing? (Wheel dependant)

Abs speed sensor ring probably creating the fault due to a bit of corrosion. A common fault and an expensive (well more than it should cost really) as the part is integral part of the wheel hub/bearing etc and you have to replace the lot.

I paid £300 for both rears to be replaced on my mk5 golf. Plus a diag fee so they could see what wheel was wrong.

Yeah I was lucky went to the garage and they diagnosed it for free cause I'm quite friendly with them plus one of the mechanics has the diesel version. It showed up the left rear. It just seems that parts are now coming to the end of its life but I don't want to get rid of the car

Has anyone put HIDs in they're Octavia Mk2 facelift. Thanks

Be Careful as early facelift do not like hid kits. You can fry the control module and at around £300 plus fitting I would just go down the upgraded halogen bulb route.
