Felicia front wishbone bushes

Recommended Posts

Ok been thinking i'd like to upgrade to some poly bushes but can't really find anything. So i looked into Mk1 Golf front bushes and they are very similar to the Felicia ones.

Felicia on the left Mk1 Golf on the right.

I think that's close enough for my liking so i will get some Mk1 Golf poly bushes in the near future and try them.

My questions is does anyone know of a bush from another car that would fit the rear?

I can't answer to your request but if you don't mind I will add some observations concerning polyurethane bushings (PUB) in general. I am interested in your opinions.

  1. While being more resilient, PUB have the disadvantage of transmitting the shocks from the road to the body frame with almost zero dampening. The driving comfort diminishes and the body frame is more stressed.
  2. The price of the PUB is ridiculous. There is no economical justification for it, other than fooling people based on the old reflex "more expensive means automatically much better".

Granted that may be the case and for a stock Felicia there would be no need to use PUB. However my Felicia is low, stripped out etc so the potential of loosing some comfort doesn't bother me.

Yeah i agree they are expensive but as are most modifications

Speedpro in Czech dopolyurethane bushes for the Felicia.

They also do them for the rear beam mounts:

I have a set for my rally car, though I've not put them on yet.

They also do what I suspect are the old uprated rubber bushes which were homologated for the Group N cars for the Skoda Challenge.  The first of these are the front bush for the track control arm, and the second the rear bushes. (These are a ****** to get out of the bracket that bolts to the car.)

If you register on the site, put them in the basket and then check out, they'll email you with a price  in Euros including shipping to the UK which you can pay by bank transfer.  I've bought stuff from them a few times, and whilst delivery isn't fast, they've been very reliable.

Cheers
