vRS245 ordered club

Recommended Posts

Still waiting till Week 18 for it to be built.

Complaint lodged and escalated to a Customer services rep who has yet to call me back.

Some sort of compensation awaits me on collection, but to what amount they would not tell.

Expecting to collect it in June knowing my luck 21 weeks on from my order.

Starting to get tedious now.

As the angle of the two headlights doesn't really line up I think you'd struggle to wrap it without it looking off in some way

I hear ya, il be wrapping the spoiler so will get some left over to play with who knows what will happen eh!

Hope you don't mind, borrowed the picture from someone elses post on this thread, anyone able to take 20 seconds and paint the bit inbetween the lights gloss black?

(imagine some gloss black wrap across the bits)

thanks in advance...

That's why I ordered mine in Black Pearl because the grill and headlights look better!

I'm only 14bhp down on the Type R now can't wait to meet one and give the owner a surprise, probably got similar top speed as I haven't got a big tea tray out back slowing me down.

And your car doesn't look like it belongs in .........

Picking mine up Tuesday! :)

Sorted insurance and GAP too, only thing left is to investigate a rubber boot floor cover and bumper protector once it arrives.

Ooh good idea about the rubber boot floor. I was looking into getting one and forgot all about it. Definitely a requirement for me as shoving my daughter's muddy pushcair into the boot has already left some delightful mess for me to hoover up at some point!

Please do share if you find a decent one at a reasonable price. :)

I have the same concern, mucky buggy getting filth all over the place haha.

I found this one, seems reasonable if you want the logo - http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-Combi-rear-trunk-cargo-mat-HONEYCOMB-RS-design-KI-R

Cheaper - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Skoda-Octavia-Mk3-Estate-2013-onwards-black-tailored-car-boot-mat-liner-L3150/371679640767?epid=1077004841&hash=item5689d53cbf:g:rdYAAOSwo4pYamHg

Project Thunder.  My all time fave.

Haha remember seeing it and a orange corrado they did at the NEC max power show. Late 90s I was in my late teens early 20s. Well into max power. Haha i remember my 95 escort 1.6si 5dr pushing 90 bhp with tsw venoms and a peco big bore 4. Funny looking back now. Haha.

Yep the one above, thanks @stepdavi

IIRC they gave it away and then it was smashed by the new keeper.  I thought it was great when I was 13

In 1998 I bought a dealer demo yellow SEAT Ibiza GTi 16v with full Rally bodykit and full Rally graphics, then added Magnex 150 by 100mm backbox, highlift camshaft, raised rev limit (7200rpm) and custom re-map. Alot of fun in an 1100 kg small hatch, pushed out 174bhp on the dyno. Some jealous scumbag crowbarred the rear roof spoiler off one night!

Will it not have the double sided boot mat? My SE technology has one fitted as standard.

I’m pretty sure it’s a £90 option because I scoffed at the price and now I’m looking for an alternative   :D

£90 is ridiculous. They could afford to charge £50 and still make a decent profit plus get a few more sales

It's finally happened, I have a confirmed build week of week 13, 26th March. As other have said, confirmation is around two weeks before the build week. I guess it's still going to be 6 to 8 weeks before it finally arrives, but at least it's happening.
