Saw something on the side of a van that I thought might be a fitting retiral present for AG- "" MAN SERVICE"  . With recent reports of his bedroom bans, I thought it might make a decent retirement present. THEN I spotted the words "Van and truck servicing".

I don't know you mate, but I wish you a great and healthy  retirement.

Just remember to say "Yes Dear" and you'll be fine. Fortunately my dear wife is Cornish , so we compromise on getting things done DREKLY..... :D

I've now caught up. Tomorrow is my last official day at work.

Today my workmates ambushed me with a fire truck - lol.

I'd be less wet had I jumped in a pool fully clothed.

I've just had to drive home barefoot wearing only my emergency skids and a borrowed Gas Monkey t-shirt.

Who knew retirement would be this much fun!

Auric, Camelspyyder, enjoy your retirements guys.

I walked out of my job unannounced, a few days before my 60th birthday.

I could no longer cope with the amount of **** thrown at me by a newly appointed Director with zilch experience in my line of work.

But Directors always know best... :fubar:

That was five years ago and I regret nothing.

Retirement is ace

Surprise present this morning.

Since my employer demands that I return the company watch that I've had for 36 years!

SWMBO went and got me a lovely piece of Scandinavian elegance from SKAGEN as my new daily driver.

Had a workmate who retired at 52,

He adopted Auric's routine.

Died at 52 1/2 - liver failure.

Sad.

I had a work mate who retired on his 65th birthday which was a Friday, never smoked and hardly drank, following Monday dropped dead, heart attack.

I'll take my chances..........

A guy i worked with (my age... mid 30's) who didnt get permanancy at the end of his contract time as he had so many days marked against him for not turning up on friday after thursday pay day.

Last i heard was 12month ago, hes reached a staged of being jaundice and bloated from drinking.

He was a good worker when he was focussed, went on the dry for about 6months once and was in great form. it was his lazy useless dad f'ked  him up - tappin him for pints on thursday night and a session could last all weekend :(

Waste of a life.

Dont turn to that level and you'll be alright!

Hope the retirements are going well btw..

Nice watch @camelspyyder
