Problem wih interior lights and lighters

Hello , I am new user and 2 days ago I buy my first Skoda Superb 2.8 V6 . I find 2 electric problems - first one is that my interior lights not working , only my rear left door light work also my front and rear lighters (12v sockets) not work but the third one which is it in my back 12v socket work . Where is the problem , that make me crazy 2 days ! Every think (wing electric mirrors,alarm,dashboard and electric windows lights working) .Can someone to help me with more information please . +1 for water ingress, read the thread at the top of page from start to finish, impossible to say how expensive it will depend on how long the water has been there. If you are equipped to tackle the work yourself then it will drop the cost but it is time consuming work so prohibitive if you are paying dealership labour prices. If you are keeping the car do it once and fix it right don't bodge it, there are great how to instructions in the thread, search is your friend.

Hello again . I checked today for any leak but my pollen filter and around it looked like new also I checked for water my carpet and it is very dry like my car coming from Skoda factory today ! I think that my problem is not there ! Also my 12v sockets work just my charger is too short for them that is my mistake ! Where will be the problem ? Maybe my central light console on the front ? How rear interior lights they have electric ? They take from front one or ? I don't know but I am sure that I don't have water leak !

The area around the pollen filter is a "crap trap" - it gets disgusting around there very quickly with leaves etc.  If it is very clean it implies someone has cleaned it recently, probably to reseal the filter housing...   There are several wiring nodes in the car which corrode on contact with water.  These are notorious for causing issues with the interior lights.  Car might be dry now but previously damaged from water ingress.

 

Also note that touching the carpet top isn't enough to know it is dry.  You need to see / feel under the carpet.  The carpet isn't in contact with the floorpan in most places - so there can be lots of water under it and you don't know.  If you get a look under the carpet you might also be able to see if there is any evidence of water having been there.

 

Of course, it could be something else, but really it is usually water damage.  In any case, if you are electrically minded you can buy the complete wiring diagrams from Skoda's ERWIN service (will cost around 6 euros I think).  Then you can trace back from the lights to find the problem.  You need to look at both the power and ground connections.

You have to lift the carpet or at least remove the floor air vent under both front seats and get your hand in there to check for damp, they can hold litres of water undeneath and the carpet could be dry to touch. As Jim says above the leaks may have been fixed but the corrosion not sorted, to be honest if it is really clean around the pollen filter it would be a flag that someone has been in there recently. As per the previous post read the water ingress thread start to finish, lots of people have dismissed it to their cost believing the issue to originate some where else.

My previous 2003 Superb I has never leaked although when it was nearly new it had a full dash out warranty job to repair a clicking cliate control servo so the pollen filter gasket may have been replaced

Single wire operation means the CAN bus is is single wire mode - i.e. one of the wires is damaged / connection corroded.

Using the measuring blocks in VCDS you should be able to see if it is permanently faulty or intermittently faulty.  Could well be water damage to the loom.

 

Your VCDS listing is a bit mangled; you have items listed under parking which are nothing to do with parking.  Did you copy and paste it right?  Genuine VCDS?

Hello again guys ! I have another problem ! My car few days ago show me Engine Check Light . When I checked with my VCDS I find few Different fault codes . Bank1/Bank2 too rich , Bank1/Bank2 too lean / Catalyst Warm Up / Missfire / Injector and every time was different fault codes but never all together also my fuel consumation on my dash was 13.5l/100km but on petrolstation was 8l/100km when I fuel up and calculated how many km I drove with how many liters ! My car stopped to start up engine from first time and yesterday I change fuel filter also I checked fuel pump and now I can't start my car anymore . It have electric and fuel but just not started anymore ! What can I do please !

Hello guys again ! I fixed my problems with interior lights and my lighters . The problem was really heavily corroded wires under passanger seat but now I still have some problems and I think that will be again corroded cables but I dont know where I can find it ! Maybe under driver seat ? If someone can help me please .

I just seal the corroded wires but now I have 2 new problems . My rear right door not locking and unlocking with remote control and normal also not indicate open door on my dash and when I open it my interior lights not working  (rear right door) . Also my driver door sometime have the same problem but only sometime but indicate open door and when I open it I have interior lights hm.... . Also I find electric on my rear right door electric window when I am on ignition off . Maybe broken wires again or .... ? Can some one help me Please !
