I got a TDI Elegance and i did HID on main beams and left the normal ones on high beams. I did all the side lights LED with resistors as it came up with a fault on the dash. I did all the interior plus number plate LED. I also bought some Cree LED DRLs.

Conclusion? Apart from the HIDs as the headlights are rubbish, none of the rest are worth doing. Why? LEDs keep blowing off, and I mean every 3 months one goes. I buy different brands more expensive, i bought Phillips ones etc but they are cr*p. Yes they look good but they are not so reliable as they claim to be. The old filament bulbs are so much better (in terms of reliability). And in case you are wondering, yes i bought the right Watts, amps etc.

Sadly no well I would guess not without messing about with the physical electrics.

how come your side lights are on with the DRLs? My DRL is on only when all the lights are switched off.

So do the Fogs & Day Light Running (Day Time) lights go out or dim with the Head lights on or when it is lighting up time & there is not Fog or poor visibility conditions under 100 meters so that they are legal in the UK and not liable to get points and a fine?

You still have manual control over the lights I had just fitted the new leds and was checking for any bulb warnings.

Drls still go off when main beam goes on.

Hi, I have fabia 2008 model and want to replace headlights with this darker model from Fabia 2011, same shape. I'm wondering does it fit? and also maybe bumper to be like on this white fabia.  Mine is not monte carlo version

Nice

Have you any links to the led headlights you used?

Straight swap,or any mods needed?

You need adaptors or to modify the current bulb holders.

I used these adaptors

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-LED-BUlb-Holders-for-cree-cob-philips-kit-h7-headlight-beam-dipped-adapters-/182312852763?epid=550254465&hash=item2a72b15d1b:g:XUkAAOSwCGVX~7Yd

I have these although i got them free from a mate as he bought a new car and the new car didnt use H7 connectors

Loving the Monte mate, its coming along nicely ! i bought the same kit and adapters as yours, i am having difficulty with fitting the adapter to the  LED bulb, as there does not seem to be  a way to attach the bulb to it . also the adapter does attach to the headlight bulb holder , it seems to be loose and does not screw on. so ive currently put the LED bulb in the headlight but its not properly screwed and the rubber dust cover seems to be keeping  LED in position, im not sure if that's the right thing to do as i may be blocking the fan with the rubber cover.

Im looking to do a remap on mine this weekend and a Cat back exhaust system. ill then introduce the Monte on here with the mods ive done so far  :)

Are they the right way round? I had that issue before I worked out a month later I put the adaptors on upside down.

You also need to put it in as straight as you can do it clips in at both sides sounds like yours is only clipping in at one side.
