Bargain generator?

Vaguely thinking about getting a 240V generator for a new workshop/shed that's going up at the bottom of the garden soon. Quote for wiring it up to the house was insane, so was looking at alternatives.

This one looks like an unbeatable bargain if it works?

Bit late, but might be worth checking the noise levels.... Your neighbours might be highly unimpressed with a noisy generator.

I'm thinking of contacting my local energy supplier in case they want this as a backup for one of their power stations!

I was actually saving @Wino from the additional expense of having to add an extension onto his new shed!

Customs may not believe that price, which includes delivery, for a three phase generator of 75kW, 100kVA when working out the VAT and Duty, not to mention CE approval problems. On the other hand, it is amazing what they let through as if they just check only a small percentage of goods.

At that price it would almost definitely fail the import system Front End Credibility check, FEC, best pronounced in a Farther Ted accent.

Value for duty based on full price to uk/eu frontier ie proper price of goods+freight cost+insurance etc.  If cargo goes Route 1 or 2 it will be held until hmrc/ukba happy with import dec. Customs duty only a few % Ad Valorem, VAT at 20%. Looks too good to be true therefore.....
