Which wash mitt and drying towel

Recommended Posts

I'm currently using wo-wo sheepskin wash mitt and a car pro mitt, I've had my car pro long hair mitt for years and it's still good as new.

Drying towel wise I always use autofinesse aqua deluxe or kkd silverback.

I have & use these 2 types of drying towels, both very good.

For wash mitts I have a few but tend to use these the most.

(In no order of using just what I have)

Dependent on budget - there are a few great options....

Dooka wash pads are superb, no denying it - but pricey

(Available dooka direct)

Adams Synthetic wash pad is nice, cheaper and machine washable;

does need a little after care - such as brushing out any tangles.

(Prestige car care or Motorgeeks sell these)

The KLiN style twisted pile drying towels are excellent.

(In2detailing, CYR and others selling these.)

Cheap wash mitt or wheel mitt - recommended on eBay at  approx £1 each;

really nice - wash well and throw away after a few months and buy a fresh one.

I also like the Adams wash mitt. Being synthetic a little easier to care for than the true lambswool ones. I got a WoWo wheel wash mitt a few months back when it was on a cheap offer and that's worn really well

Thanks heaps guys!

What brush do you use on the dooka and Adams wool pad?

Certainly over time it benefits from a brush now and again.

Look on ebay for the cheap "detangle" type brushes.

Works well on most wash pad/mitts of this type and deep pile MF's too.

I'd not used a drying towel before, always being slightly old fashioned and using an Autoglym synthetic leather.  However having bought a black car and fearing for the potential for damage to the finish, I purchased a couple of these:

I'm now a convert and find the towel to be quicker than the old method and far kinder to the paintwork.
