Hello All

Need a car for work , looking like the citigo 1.0 60 ps is the top of the list at the moment

Will get some test drives arranged , just wondering how much the servicing costs are and at what intervals ?

Any problems to look out for ?

Most likely be looking for 2013 - 2014 model and have a budget of approx.  4.5k

Thanks for your help

Cheers Steve

Servicing is required every 12 months or 10,000 miles, whichever occurs sooner.

Service costs from a Skoda dealer are typically £150/£260 for minor/major service for a car 3 years or older. For a 2014 car that is out of warranty I would suggest that an independent VW specialist would provide better value.

I know you’ve said 2013-2014 but if your budget is 4.5k to buy the car (?) you’d probably be able to get a newer one i.e around the 2015-2016 age. Suppose it depends what spec your wanting and whether or not the 4.5k covers running costs aswell?

Autotrader is a good place to start looking for your car, get quotes for insurance, look at reviews and look at estimated running costs. They are one of the cheapest city cars to run I believe.

Is that around 70 miles to the gallon you are getting?

On my trip into work I can average over 70mpg with an average speed of around 30mph, if my car had start stop this would be higher. I'm getting high 60's as my average from a tank. I've had over 80mpg once when I was trying to hyper mile

Get one with heated seats as they are really fast unlike heating itself, a must IMO. Also go for a 5 door as more practical for access for all including if u fold seats n carry a load.  Add boot load shelf too if not fitted. I have a 75bhp and drive mainly shorter (fast :-) ) trips and get 47-50mpg but more on long runs.  A great little car to own.
