KODIAQ AMUNDSEN CRASH !!

Being yesterday glad to deliver the “bear” 2.0 TDI 4x4  DSG7 190 HP (Build week 35 in Kvasiny) from the dealer, found that the off road mode with the 3 gauges doesn’t appear on the screen and the screen remained unresponsive even after many efforts of switching on- off!!!

The day after ,I was informed that although the updates performed on the infotainment the problem remains and they have to contact the Skoda factory for further instructions !

Has anyone similar experience?

If there is some9ne local with vcds, they could do it

It is in the guides somewhere on this forum.

You could even give the guide to the dealer to see if they could activate it with their computer.

Vcds, or vag-com as it used to be called is an aftermarket (and simpler) version of the computers that the dealers use. It is made by www.ross-tech.com and has been developed over at least 15 years now.

A lot of the alterations that can be done with the software has been found by trial and error from the vag community.

The dealers probably don't know how to do it because they have never had to. They are in it to make money from servicing and repairs, not play around with the computers to see what they can do.

Vcds can be a powerful diagnostic tool for the home user as there is a lot of information that you can gather from the different car computers.

I have a thought.  Does the off road dials definitely work with the admunsen, or is it Columbus only?

And if the admunsen is unresponsive is it a faulty touchscreen unit?.
