Minor Mods Complete

Recommended Posts

Thanks, Damo. Coilovers are mid-drop at the front and full-drop at the rear. The fronts are obviously struts with built-in shock absorbers. The rears came with separate shock absorbers. The ride is 100 times better with the new set-up. In stock form, the car wallowed about like a boat on our poorly maintained country roads but now it's hard, maybe too hard for some. My other car's an Audi S1 so I love it.

BTW mods were all done and paid for by our 18 year old son so all credit to him for his choices (although advised by Dad!). And it's hard to find an exhaust for the NJ3 - this Supersprint exhaust came from Italy and was eye wateringly expensive!

Wow that's nice and low

Is the supersprint overly loud or quite discreet unless driving hard

Had a supersprint on MK1  golf GTi back in the day and thought it was awesome

What about the Forge BOV, any advantage other than the noise?

The noise is certainly there, headinawayoffski, but the stock Fabia has an annoying habit of revving unpredictably when you try to pull away with minimal throttle (anti-stall mechanism?). I think the Induction Kit / Blow-Off Valve combo has helped with this but I may just be imagining it! All sounds great though!

Exhaust is non-resonated catback with a single tail box, malcster. Lovely warble at idle and quite boomy at lower revs. Seems to peak at 3000-4000 rpm then gets quieter. Loudest around town when backing off for junctions but not intrusive. Not a high rev screamer like the S1.

It is not going to bother the power much but it can if 'sporting' driving is done, the battery is easy to turn or go into the boot, then a nice cold air feed can go as with a Polo GTI.  Better balance handling wise as well.

Hi mate, just wondering where you got your wheel spacers from?

Cheers,
