Choosing a polisher

Hi guys,

I finally decided to give up on going to a detailer but instead start doing it myself.

On that note I firstly need to buy a DA polisher ( no question about rotary at all) but I'm a bit confused on how to choose.

I've narrowed down on a griots garage flex and Bosch but the thing is except Bosch I will have to import the rest.

While digging deeper I figured that the rpm range on the Bosch is 350-3500rpm .

My question is would this be sufficient to remove swirls and etching due to bird dropping.

I do have prior experience using a polisher but never bought one.

Hence the ask.

Yes, I have looked at that as well.

But my problem is sourcing these.

Sourcing das6 was tougher than gritos, hence I've didn't look much into it

Hi rkhshm, try these 2 sites for your machine polisher.

Clean your car

Polished bliss

Both very good sites and hopefully accommodate you.

Aliexpress to the rescue and i picked up a polisher.

Wanted to try out a new brand (at least that's what i think it is) called 'clover'.

Some pads are also on the way.

I"ve picked up orange, red, white(CCS) pads as well.

Its been 2 yrs since i did any detailing on my car and I see a lot of swirls and hence the efforts.

I'm confused about  picking up a good 1 step polish, any help on this please?

I"m looking at Meguir's M205 , and i believe the M205 with an orange pad should be ample to really cut out the general swirls.

Any opinions guys?

Thanks

I'd use the equivalent of chemical guys hexlogic orange pad for the megs 205. I do believe scholl concepts do a really good one step polish now that cuts, then polishes once the product breaks down. Might be worth a look if that's the route you want to take.

Yeah the orange pad I've taken is equivalent to CG hex pads.

Let me check out between m205 and scholl .

But are there any other 1 step polishes you suggest?

Hi  rkhshm, I've slipped up. I would use CG guys white pad with the megs 205, and the orange pad for use with the megs 105. Sorry about that. My bad. As for other one steps, hopefully another member might be able to help out.
