Newbie, just got 55plate 1.9 130 elegance with 56000 miles !!  Full dealer history and 10 stamps, 3 keys and every receipt! :)

One or 2 things to sort out but can anyone tell me what's contained within the metal protective box under the parcel shelf in the boot ?

cheers

Welcome to the world of a lovely if old car. I still love mine 8 years on.

Have good read of some of the forum issues here, inparticular the water ingress and rear parking sensors.

Anyway, what metal protective box??

Maybe a pic would help with a finger pointing.

Is it the extra bose hifi system rarely fitted ?

Thanks Nackuk, I've read a number of posts and first job is pollen filter and then the sensors funny how you guessed the first 2 jobs !

And yes a pickture would be very helpful ..

Many thanks again john

Yes, that will be a cover for an additional amplifier.  Looks like a factory fit  -  no-one else would bother to fit a protective cage.

Wind up the volume on your next trip and feel to see if it's hot.

I wonder what the head unit is, what the speakers are, and if it's a two or four channel amplifier?
