Cheaper car insurance for Skoda Fabia,

Hello,

 I found out by accident about an insurance company that is linked to Briskoda. I hadnt heard of them until today when I accidentally clicked on a link on Briskoda. I am very keen on getting cheaper car insurance for my 2013 Skoda Fabia TSI(85) estate as it has gone up regularly even though I do all the right things and use the car insurance comparison sites etc. The company is called Chris Knott Insurance Limited and I have made contact with them. My insurance isnt due until July and they will be getting in touch nearer to that date. I dont want to switch insurance companies from my present one(Axa) unless I really know they are sound and have a good reputation on paying out on claims etc.  I  am NOT being snide about this company, I just dont know them at all and I would welcome hearing from people who can put my mind at rest. I do want to save money but I also want good service etc. Thanks.

Give them a googling to see if they are legit. Also, when you get their quote, tell your current insurer as they may match or come close to it and save the hassle. Also, if they DO match or even beat the quote, you can then re-try the new guys and they too, may lower their premium. You will be surprised how much you can knock off the premium, with just the same policy, by doing this. 

Be aware though, moving to new insurance might entail jumping through hoops to provide no-claims discount proof, licence evidence etc although if the saving is big enough, its well worth the hassle.

@hetty1 - Chris Knott are a well known and long established insurance broker, rather than an insurance company in their own right. From your viewpoint there should be no difference between the two business models.
