Mod cluster lights to remain permanent on?

Hi guys, 

 

Has anyone modified their cluster lights, i.e. gauges and dash to remain on, even without sidelights? In the UK most of the time I find there isn't enough light to light up my cluster, but there is no need to turn the lights on, and I'd rather not leave them on all the time. Is there an easy method to doing this, even if requiring soldering or is there an easily accessible relay I can bypass?
