My Australian Octavia Scout won't connect bluetooth

Recommended Posts

When I try to pair my Galaxy S8 with the car it asks me for the password.

What I don't understand is what password is this.

My old little Nokia C-02 paired up and worked well for the last 2 years.

A relative did the pairing up.

Help,.,.,thanks.

G'day,

When pairing my S7, a 6 digit password appeared on the car entertainment screen, and on my phone. Both devices then asked me to confirm they matched? Is this what you are getting?

Otherwise, try 0000 or 1234 as default passwords. Failing that, maybe it's the password for unlocking your phone e.g. qwer?

Pretty sure it's what Pistonbroke  said you need to look at your phone screen when pairing and see the request to pair code message  then ok or put the number in that is on the phone screen.

It's a security  thing to stop anyone connecting with your head unit or phone.
