Bolero Radio / CD

Recommended Posts

Evening all, I have just purchased a 2010 Octavia SE TDI from my dad who is too old to drive ( only 28K miles from new!!) and I intend to use it as my general day to day / work horse in addition to my main car.

The vehicle has the Bolero radio with CD and Media card slot, but no AUX input that I can find. I assume it wasn't fitted as standard on the SE model?

I am looking at fitting a Pure Highway DAB adaptor and my first choice would be to use an AUX input rather than the FM transmit feature. If I remove the radio unit, is it a simple matter of an AUX input being found to the rear of the unit, or should I just "put up" with the FM transmit feature??

Many thanks

Martin

The pins for the aux in are available on the back of the bolero, they just don't fit the aux socket if there is no centre arm rest. Plenty of people have bought or made the wiring up with an aux socket fitted to various parts of the dash such as unused switch blanks. I'm sure a search on here will turn up some posts where people have fitted the aux socket and even the centre console on occasion.
