Hi,I'm trying to replace my dance head unit with an aftermarket alpine nothing too complicated.

This is where fun begins.I buy a quadlock iso and no luck as I have to run a permanent 12v off it,no problem I do this and the stereo works but no memory but with the added bonus of nearly every dashboard warning light on!

I get a friend round with diagnostic and he explains it's the canbus.So I buy a quadlock with can bus ignition and now the stereo won't even turn on.

The original stereo won't even work now either. 

I'm now stuck with a car that will never pass an m.o.t because of dashlights you can't reset .

Wtf have I done wrong here😪

What fault codes did you get? If it was a vcds scan can you post it on here?
