Octavia Horn With Locking

Featured Replies

Using Vag Com, I have set the beep on lock status to 1, however I would then expect the horn to sound briefly when locking the car but it doen't. What I doing wrong? If I set the status turn the ignition off, back on and then use Vag Com to check the status it is definitely set to 1.

To note that the status of my horn was set to "Other European Countries", I have changed this to UK but it does not make any difference to the above.

I assume that the anti highjack (selective locking) is the same proceedure as the Golf IV as listed on Ross Tech site?

You cna only have the beeb if you have the alarm fitted which uses an additional horn. Read it a while back on here.

I have tried enabling beep on lock too with no success.

As mentioned already, the lock/unlock horn messages are requiring the anti-theft-system horn, if you don't have that, your lost. If you do have the anti-theft-sytem horn and you are still having issues, post control module part numer and vag-com version.

Do you have the anti-theft system? This is required to enable the beeps.

What's your comfort control module part number and the current comfort system long coding?

Yes I have anti-thief system.

Do you mean address 46:

Address 46: Central Conv.

Part No: 1K0 959 433 AK

Component: KSG 0401

Coding: 19D002007F2D8505484F863004CC

Shop #: WSC 73430

All Skodas have the cent conv. (46) computer

with the Octy II it's in the long coding settings. You will need the alarm horn fitted for it to work though.

New coding with lock/unlock beep is:

19D002007F2D0D0D484F863004CC

If you are using a current version of VAG-COM your should have a "long coding helper" button on the recode screen. ;)

P.S.: Octavia MK1 (1U) models without power windows did not answer on address #46, they answered under #35 (central locking).

Yes I looked this helper but I didn't find anything about 'lock beep/unlock beep' to check.

I'll make print screen.

if you look at section 6 (i think) it will have something along the lines of 'locking confirmation (light)' with 'locking confirmation (horn)' underneath it, and the same for unlock. The horn is what you are looking for.

Is this code for Octavia I? I have Octavia II.

I create an attachment with picture of my long coding helper.

I didn't dare to write in and save your code.

Could you look again if I could use your code.

Thank you.

When in the long coding helper, click on the 6th and 7th section (shows 2D and 85 at the moment) for the lock/unlock options. If you want to manually change it, thats where the options are, it really is that easy to do yourself.

Mine beeps, Thanks Roo

I tryed the code and It's right one. Now my Octy is beeping, too.

Thanks

ummmm

if you click on the pair of numbers you should get a list of options which you select to turn them on and off

When you get a chance, spend 30-60 mins with the vag-com plugged into the car, go to the gateway applications list, in the auto scan section and this will tell you all the contollers in the car. If you go through them and have a play you will find out a lot of things for yourself as it is all in the vagcom software

Hello!

Today after my job when I was playing with VAG-COM, I found other options just you described.

And another question. I would like to change idle speed value but I need 7 digit key. Where can I get it?

Best regards

if it is not here, then is would be a 'hello Mr car dealer, can I ask you a question for some money if I get the right answer? did i mention I love you?' sort of question you would need to ask.

Idle speed is not supposed to be changed on current engines. Depending on which engine you are talking about in particular, there might be a newer (ECU) firmware version, that enables the adaptation channels.

I clearly doubt asking a dealer would help, but feel free to try.
