I had Apple Carplay on my last company car and it is something that I really miss on my Octavia Mk3 (2015) which has a MIB1 infotainment system. I was a bit reluctant to replace my screen with an aftermarket unit, as I would imagine I would lose a lot of functionality with various settings, etc. I considered upgrading to MIB2 or 2.5, but with the amount of work involved, not to mention the cost, which could be approaching £900, I couldn't really justify it. What I was looking for was a way to
