By now hopefully most Octavia owners will be aware of the issue on the ABS / ESP unit (this does not affect cars with ASR instead of ESP). In short the unit is failing at around the 4 year mark and the bill from Skoda to replace this is around £1500-£1700. This is a problem which is affecting VWs & Audi as well as other manufacturers.
