Hi All ,    I have the dreaded self locking issue on my 2008 4x4 Wagon . I believe its the door micro switch going by previous peoples posts on it etc as the courtesy light does not come on nor does the dash display show an open door (yet does on all other doors).  When i converted my car from a BMM 8v engine to a BKD 16v engine i had the luxury of having the whole front cut of the 2007 VW Golf to ensure i had everything to do the engine conversion.
