Dont understand it either. I stated the strut with directline and they its not a performance mod cos either it doesnt improve the performace of the car nor does it count as an aesthetic item. Surely that would apply to the air intake too? No performance to the engine nor an aesthetic item.

As you all know there are different companies that offer diesel. Such as Shell, Tescos, Asdas, BP etc etc. What I would like to know or understand, is there a huge difference between them? Besides the obvious thing - price! I read some where that its ideal to put some BP Ultimate into it now and again to clean the fuel injectors and have better fuel economy. How come it does this? Even BP are advertising this on the tele. I also read some where that supermarket fuels have some impurities, is this right? Normally I use shell, tecos or sainsburys. But im tempted to use BP Ultimate or Shell's equivalent to see if there is a difference, in performance, economical. What are you guy's opinion on this and whats it like after trying the "better" diesel! Cheers

Just confirmed, im running 29s at the back and 36s at the front. Yes shortfall of the recommended psi, just did some conversion on the internet, it should be 30s at the back and 33s at the front. God knows why it was that different. Drives ok, nothing wrong. Grips fine (unless its the car's nature to grip well :P), also no wonder my fuel economy has been great then Will rectify this pressure problem ASAP.

On mine I run 28s at the rears and about 36-7s at the fronts for std vrs tyres. With the similiar net weight give or take 100kg due to heavier weight of the TDI. I wouldn't expect to make much difference, unless someone expects differently.

I agree with simon, get one from japan for just over £100 (if your know where ur shopping). As its coming out here in Sept 1st for £179. Not a bad price to pay for now. PS2 will be regionalised and you will be needing to get a NTSC converter as well unless your tv is fairly knew. If you were thinking of getting the thicker PS2 you can buy a broadband adapter, hard drive and a software called HD loader. What it does it can install the games on the hard drive and use the software to load it. IPOD is dirt cheap in asia rob1sp: yeah they have funky phones over there but you'll be paying RRP for them like £200-500 a handset (depends how new it is). Best thing is to get dvds or music cds. £1-2 for dvds and they are legal!

Hope so! Anyways we're rich enough to afford that extra 42p lol. Should fit them on the day of purchase (saturday) and test it out on the day. watch this space.

i thought so too. But 1. the lady didnt know what a strut was and ask her manager which didnt know what one was either. 2. it didnt enhance the engine so therefor it wasnt a performance mod. 3. it doesnt make the car look good from the outside so therefore wasnt cosmetics. Beats the **** out of me, tbh

I confirmed with (direct line) DL and for some reason they didn't class it as modification. Cos they have two bands, cosmetics or performance. The strut didnt fit in either. So didnt have to pay extra for the premium. Beats me why they're like that compare to other insurance comps.
