  1. When did Stevie Wonder make the career move into leather dash trimming?
  2. Morning, I've updated the first post with details of the mot, servicing, seat supplied and fitted lowering springs and the fact that the rear has been professionally 'de=badged'
  3. Hi, I'm returning to employment and leaving self employment behind for now, so will soon have a pool car and then a nice new one! I also need a seven seater for occasional use, but don't want to get one as my new company car, so may be prepared to take a PX on something with seven seats to keep as a second car. Photobucket seems to have completely robbed these photo's of their vibrancy, so I can email originals to anyone who's interested. Needless to say, I'm very fussy about my cars and apart from a few stonechips the paintwork is as sharp, glossy and swirl free as it appears in the photo's. The interior is also in fantastic condition, and I'll get some pic's of the interior shortly. I'm sure most people are aware that the Exeo is basically a rebadged Audi A4 Avant - so Audi dash, switchgear, 143BHP 2.0 TDI CR engine etc. This one has rear parking sensors, cruise control, Blutooth, dual zone air conditioning, ipod/phone dock in glove box, rear privacy glass, auto lights, wipers and dimming rear view mirror, official Seat sport lowering springs - these are Eibach and I have the receipt from the main seat dealer that fitted them .......and probably some other things I've forgotten!! EDIT - It was Warrington Seat that supplied and fitted the lowering springs, and the cost was £561.01 including parts, labour and VAT. It's a 2010 (10), is just coming up to 50,000 miles and has a full service history, and I'm the third owner. Tires are Michelins with loads of tread, no budgets here! Economical, realiable, smooth and nippy car - I'd be very surprised if anyone was disappointed on viewing and driving, but I'm not going say 'immaculate' as some people seem to think that means - 'just rolled off the production line!' EDIT - MOT runs to 15th March 2015. The new Tax rules mean that the buyer would need to tax upon purchase. EDIT - Service history is part Seat & part independent and has been done at 16,379, 33,442 and 41,572 and it's asking for a service in 700 miles - which either I, or the new owner can take care of depending on price. EDIT - a keen eyed forum member had pointed out that the rear has been 'de-badged' - It has been done properly, no marks or scratches at all where the lettering was. The previous owner just didn't like the word 'EXEO' emblazoned across the boot in large letters! Looking for £7750 ono I'm in Bristol, Bath and Highbridge in Somerset.... long story!! Thanks for looking
  4. Left it way too late.... got a lot of crap going on in my life right now, so been somewhat distracted!
  5. Ok buddy, recon i'll be there for 6.45 ish, but will have to peel off into the spectators entrance when we get there
  6. Hi, Don't suppose you'd be interested in a px plus cash as you're looking to release funds? I have a 2010 pearl black seat exeo 2.0tdi CR 143 BHP estate, under 50k miles currently (about 48k, but it's my daily driver), I'm the third owner - just like you are on yours. I won't bore with any more details unless it's at least a 'possible'.... but it's immaculate, drives faultlessly, has sunset tints, cruise etc
  7. Anyone know what time the gates open for 'non stand'.... thinking about coming for a few hours and bringing my girls, but obviously left it very late. Is the Mc'meet cancelled or still on?
  8. I never said they don't give a thrill, I just said that the risk didn't justify the thrill for me personally. I love speed, just ask Lloyd! .....but I know that part of my character is that I can lack self control at times, I would be my own worst enemy on a bike, and that's before we take the actions of others into account! One of the questions my new girlfriend asked me before we properly got together was.... 'are you into bikes?' and I responded with almost exactly what I said above, she said 'that's a relief I don't date guys who are into bikes' - she had someone close who died in a bike accident, I also knew someone personally who died in a bike accident, I think there's a lot of people out there who know someone who has died in a bike accident. they don't call them 'donor cycles' in hospitals for nothing :( RIDE SAFE
  9. The majority of people tend to live under the illusion of being 'in control' of their lives, unfortunately this is not the case. Random things happen all the time; mechanical parts fail, tyres burst, cancer is diagnosed, earthquakes, tsunamis, terrorist bombings, food stuck in ones throat...... the list is literally endless. Basically, life should be enjoyed because a million and one different things could lead to tomorrow never coming for each and every one of us. I don't mean any disrespect to the biker, or any biker, but I'm sure he felt fully 'in control' until the point when he realised he wasn't, by which time it was too late. For clarity, I'm definitely not defending the driver here either, but again I'm pretty sure they also felt 'in control' until it was too late. I guess what I'm trying to say is this; if you take extreme risks to find fulfilment in your life then you need to be fully aware that there's an increased chance that something outside of your control could happen. I'm not suggesting that no one ever rides a motorcycle again, but I know I won't because the risks don't justify the thrill for me personally. I do like mountain biking, and won't give that up, but plenty of people have serious accidents and there are fatalities in the sport. In my mind, riding at that speed and in that manner is a little bit like tornado chasing or taking your surfboard out when sharks have been spotted... I'm sure the thrill is extreme, but you drastically increase the danger you are exposed to and, as is very sadly demonstrated in this case, you have zero control over the actions of others. (Sir) Bradley Wiggins, one of the most talented cyclists the world has ever seen..... was still hospitalised on a training ride by a car driver
  10. Khumo's are 3mm budgets are 5.5mm - £40 all four
  11. Hi, all tyres are the same size, two are khumo ecsta with approx 3mm the other two are budgets with approx 5 to 6 mm (will try and find my depth gauge and measure). All are evenly worn with no puncture repairs. I'll try and get a couple if pics up tomorrow. Looking for £50 collected for the four from Bristol
