  1. I think a good starting point for the info you're after would be to check which rugby you mean, league or union? I say this because I know very little about rugby union (very much a northern rugby league fan)!
  2. Just so you know, a bankers draft is basically the same as a standard cheque (takes the same time to clear etc), except that it's coming from the banks' own account. Having said that, I did come across a couple of forged ones, but then this was a few years ago (I worked in a bank). As it says above, you can accept at your own risk, the same as any other cheque, but make sure the cheque/draft clears into your account before you release the car. There's probably a way to find out if its a real cheque, possibly by calling the issuing bank, but I don't know if they will be able to verify it. If you are unsure, a bank transfer could be arranged instead, or as said, take cash only. Hope that helps!
  3. When I lived in Whitehaven, I didn't support Whitehaven.... Was I supposed to? :S
  4. Strangely enough I read today in the paper that botox is sometimes used as a treatment for this condition.
  5. I used to work on the railways installing them things, such fun. Prob not really the best to burn with all the chemicals they've got in them. But if you are going to cut them up, you'll need a good strong chainsaw, something like a Stihl or something. Thats all we could use cos nothing else could get through them! Oh and yeah, they do use wood, concrete and steel sleepers, depends on the location and traffic type/amount.
  6. Out at 6.45 this morning to clear the 3 inches of snow off the car, slidey fun all the way down the hill that i live on, snow with ice underneath. Was great fun watching a taxi not be able to make it up the hill very well and having to stop halfway and try again! On a serious note, apparently it has been quite bad around Leeds, esp on the higher ground, and I bet there'll be quite a few bad accidents.
  7. All this redundancy makes me very worried for when I finish my degree next summer, will there be any work out there for all the people coming out of uni, or will there just be longer lines at the job centre? Hopefully I'm in a bit of a better situation as being a mature student (i'm not that old though... Not really grwon up either) i have previous working history before uni, so I may have a better chance... I hope!
  8. Fabia is actually the g/f's, but I use it when I can, although I've just recently got myself an N reg 306 DTurbo (not quite in hte same state of tune as the one above, mines still standard) cos I needed a car to get me to work every day. Tis great fun though, spesh when the turbo kicks in!
  9. Sounds like the estate comes on the wider but lower profile tyre then. Maybe due to spreading the extra load over a wider surface area? A couple of online places have suggested the 165/70/14's for mine, and I had a wee look at a couple of others in my area and they had the same as mine on. Not looked at any estates though.
  10. That sounds like a great offer, but that certain blue and yellow tyre fitting chain forget to mention that valve and balance is another £8.50 per tyre, and then £1.50 per tyre disposal charge, meaning for the P3000's it comes to £208!!
  11. Cheer for the info, I'm not after the cheapest tyres, just dont really have much more than £150 to spend. I will look into my local garages and see what they have to offer Oh and yeah I did know the tyre size thanks
  12. Hi guys Im looking at buying 4 new tyres for my car, a 1.4 MPi Classic, totally standard, driven 'normally', mainly used for going to work & back etc. I have a budget of £150, and was wondering if anyone could suggest which I should go for? They're 14" standard steels btw. Cheers Chaos
  13. Hey guys, Im still having the same problem with this, has anyone got any more ideas on how to resolve? Cheers
  14. I've tried the ipconfig/renew etc, it made no difference. As Captain Sisko says, I dont think its the router, as its brand new, and the laptop connects perfectly. Yes the SSID is broadcasting fine. Will try changing the security to WPA, although im not sure if its going to be that, as i've tried without security on and that made no difference. The adapter on the pc says it accepts WPA-2 fine, and I can get it to connect by manually inputting the info, but then IE/Firefox wont connect to the internet...
  15. It stays there with a refresh of the list...
