  1. For 4x4 Karoq there is only space saver type of spare wheel available from factory. Here is the picture of 4x4 with narrow spare wheel, 2-side boot floor cover, no varioflex seat, no Canton. In such case boot lip is 4-5 cm and I like it, asi t helps to keep some type of cargo fixed. With higher boot floor you would loose too much space also. Don´t forget to pull out headrests of backseats for few centimeters, it helps to get slightly more paralleel boot floor.
  2. Hatcback 4x4 Octavia appeared in Czech configurator few weeks ago. So probably you should be able to order it soon also in Romania.
  3. Here is the picture of white Scout, with some different wheels: http://www.auto.cz/skoda-octavia-scout-prvni-jizdni-dojmy-2-82016/foto?foto=11
  4. No any particular side. Just low-frequency noise from somewhere in the front, when maneuvering in 1st/2nd or reverse gear and wheels turned out > 50% (doesn´t matter right or left).
  5. My 2009 Superb (TDI, manual) has similar symptoms since end of last summer. Skoda garage confirmed there is some noise when maneuvering, but everything seems to be fine with undercarriage and bearings. Problem is certainly not related to worn tyres either. So we agreed that I will come back to them when noise is getting worse. Somehow during colder weather period it was less noticable, but now in spring it has gradually got worse. Reminds sound of fog-horn. I´ve got feeling that slight humming noise from front is now hearable also when driving straight on certain higher speeds (~95kph). In few weeks time when studded tyres are replaced with summer tyres, I will book my car to garage again for deeper investigation. Could it be anything related to power-steering?
  6. By the time when Scout with 184hp is available, there will be introduced new Passat with at least 230 hp BiTDI.
  7. It is more safe to bet that it will be 170bhp diesel to 177bhp diesel. As this has happened recently to Alhambra, Tiguan and Passat. Also it has been confirmed recently, that this most powerful diesel will be available with 4x4 and DSG combination. I hope option for manual 4x4 remains.
  8. Take a look at the picture gallery there, for me it looks there is normal spare wheel 205/55R16 below the boot floor: http://octavia3.cz/recenze/
  9. Just some nice video I found with Yeti and GLK in the snow field. According comments, GLK has central-european oriented winter tyres. Yeti has northern-european winter rubber on 16 inch wheels. Presence of studs is not important in deep snow anyway. Wet or windpacked snow will stop any 4x4 roadcar, if it runs out of clearence. But with rather dry snow as in this video, there could be big differences due to tyres - soft rubber with suitable pattern, higher side profile and correct (not too high) pressure can give big advantage in deep snow. Driver skills (knowledge of your 4x4 system behaviour) and normal suspension (I mean not stiff sport set-up) are also important factors for acceptable perfomance in deeper snow.
  10. I have managed to fill 55.8 liters, and covered 702km with that. Range was 0 for quite many kilometers by that time, but an*loge needle was still bit alive Averige consuption from that tank 7.95 l/100km (35.5mpg).
  11. Basicly it is 4x4 Superb, which has rough road package and dragpaket (towbar, electric boot, luggage net), but now it has also scout stile bumpers. Looks like all swedish dealers got their first demo cars in Cappuccino beige. Or is it Safari metallic beige?
  12. If you take out the F25 which I suggested (I think it was ABS pump), then just 1 (or 2) yellow lights. If you take out main ABS fuse, then it will be "Christmas tree" and also engine in safety mode and just FWD. Ofcourse it is good to use such method just on closed race track (lake) with even ice or snow surface. As EDL is off, in deep snow or mixed surfaces perfomance is worse.

  14. For fast laps on icetrack, remove fuse from slot F25 in engine compartment fuse box (at least model year 2010 1.8TSI Yeti). As a result all ESP/ABS/TCS/EDL will disappear, but car is still 4WD. Have fun.
  15. I remember couple of years ago someone mentioned here about giving "vitamins cure" to new V6 Superb. Use search for "vitamin" and you will find it.
