  1. Eh up our kid! See you found your way onto here at last then *Ahem!* 192Bhp courtesy of Superchips, i'm not letting that Jabba lot near my baby....
  2. Could i please enlist the help of the Briskoda mob to convince Simon that these are the ONLY wheels he need consider for his Superb..... :D
  3. Couldn't agree more mate, i myself only popped into Mitchells about 9 months ago for a quick nosey and left with a 4 hour test drive of the Furby for the following morning... Whilst a fantastic car it just wasn't for me tbh as i do prefer larger cars but the treatment from walking in the door to leaving @ Mitchells was great and made a genuinely refreshing change from the last 6 years at various VW dealers They have also kept me informed with any relevant news on the Octy Vrs and also the odd call about Superb's in my chosen spec whuch imo shows great attention to the customers needs without being too pushy... BIG from me
  4. Looking good Simon! The Briskoda mob should have a look at your thread on uk-mkivs and check out all the closet Skoda fans lol! Steve
  5. Impeccable good taste sir........ I'll be hanging on until the 170TDI surfaces i reckon, got rid of a MK4 Golf 1.8T due to the shocking mpg and my wife's 60 mile a day commute, swapped to a Bora PD130 and couldn't go back to benzine now! Really liking the Octy2 and especially the Vrs but also keep being seduced by the ridiculously low prices of Superb PD130 Elegance's, sooo much car for the cash! Also like to give a for the staff at Mitchells Skoda, they loaned me a Furby Vrs for a 4 hour test drive, washed the Bora whilst i was gone and talked over the figures with jam doughnuts..... :P
  6. I was sat in that very car on monday making brum brum noises, very very nice.... He was right about the suspension needing to settle, managed to make even my Bora parked outside look like a low sprung sportscar lol!! Registered or not though someone had been having fun in it, engine was still hot, very hot in fact and it was still dripping water from the arches and was filthy dirty! Really impressive car but i'll take mine in blue please.... Steve
  7. Here's a piccy of my current ride, got some Eibach pro dampers / -30mm Eibach springs and 15mm rear spacers waiting to go on if i don't buy a Furby Vrs...
  8. Thanks for the replies fella's... As for missing the space in the Bora over a Furby, can't see it being a major problem tbh as even though it's a bigger car it's poorly packaged imo.. The boot is huge but the loading area isn't, 'borrowed' my mates 2 year old for a trip to chester zoo a while back, his 3 wheel buggy that fits easily into my mates Punto wouldn't fit in the Bora!! The interior space doesn't seem that smaller either, the wife is 6 foot tall and with her seat right back in the Bora there is Zero rear passenger space, tried the same test in the Vrs and there's a good bit of room! There's no isofix for the seats in my Bora, think that was an optional extra, so that would be a bonus if it comes standard in the Vrs Steve
  9. Hiya Eddy, Thought it was time to check out the sensibly priced arm of the VAG empire...! Just fancying a change and really like the looks and drive of the Furby, Emma has absolutely fallen in love with them after driving a brand new Black one today, she was only behind the wheel about 30 seconds and asked could we buy it!! Seems a really fun car which is what is attracts us to one at the moment, the Bora's great but, dare i say a little boring! just don't tell anyone on Mkivs that i said that...lol
  10. Firstly, Hello to everyone on Briskoda... Been a lurker on here for a while and this is my first post and probably quite a silly question on a passionate Skoda forum, but.... I have a 2002 Bora Sport PD130 with, imo at least, some quite nice mods and have come to a crossroads in my ownership and would appreciate your opinions please guys... Had the Bora for 2 and a half years now and whilst it has been a cracking car and has no particular faults or vices that necessitate getting rid, i've just grown a little bored of it now and would like a new toy to polish on a sunday morning.... The new motor would have to have a tractor engine as the missus does 60 miles a day to work and back, i've gone through my wish list (MK5 GT TDI, Audi A3, old shape A4 130 Sport and Skoda Fabia Vrs) Out of them all, it's the Fabia that is currently in the lead by a mile... Can't really justify the cost of the MK5/A3 as i want to have some cash for doing me house up and we are currently trying for kids so will probably need every penny! lol The A4 was just not an exciting drive tbh and left me a little dissapointed, the Vrs however, was Bl##dy Belting...! Took one out for an unaccompanied 2 hour test drive today and was extremely impressed by both the car and dealer attitude, the Vrs imo looks so much nicer than the Bora and more importantly was much more fun to drive, so.....? Do i take the plunge and go for a Fabia Vrs or keep the Bora and try and recapture my enthusiasm for it by investing in more mods? Btw, taking a Lemon Yellow Vrs out for another 2 hour test drive in the morning! da da da da da, i'm lovin it! Steve
