  1. Hi all, Just to let you know the asking price is now £10,995. 12 months MOT and tax. Thanks...
  2. Hi all, Sadly, my Octavia's got to go... company car has arrived and I can't think of a good enough reason to keep the Skoda. :( Please see description, photos etc. on the Pistonheads advert: http://used.ph/13M40Uq Asking price is £11,995. Feel free to message me with any questions - I'll update the thread if its relevant for all. Thank you for reading...
  3. Hello all, I had a puncture on the rear right of my Ocatvia, it was irrepairable so I replaced the pair rather than running one part worn and one new. I kept the good (never repaired, 6 months of use, no sidewall damage) one incase it's any use to anyone: Michelin Pilot Sport 3 225/40/18 92Y The tread depth guage gave me readings from 4.8mm > 5.3mm. I would like 50GBP to top up the dented beer fund. I travel all over so might be able to drop off. Cheers...
  4. Some details on mine: http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/212744-my11-vrs-tsi-diverter-valve-fail-p0299/page__p__2509687__fromsearch__1#entry2509687
  5. All, I know this has been discussed a couple of times elsewhere, but the threads appear to be a mixture of TFSI and TSI related comments. So, for clarity, I thought I would start a new thread relating to failure of the diverter valve on my MY11 / 60 plate vRS TSI. (On about 30k miles). 06F 145 710 G: This is the failed valve which has the split diaphram as in the photo attached. (Apologies for the poor phone quality). 06H 145 710 D: This is the new valve that's been fitted and is the updated spring / piston type many of you will be familiar with. So, for those not familiar, the background here is that the car wasn't pulling as smoothly for quite some time, and then seemed to loose boost pressure. VCDS showed up the following: 000665 - Boost Pressure Regulation: Control Range Not Reached P0299 - 000 - - - Intermittent When I looked on here and other wise places on the web things mostly pointed towards the TFSI engine having the diaphram type DV. However, with thanks to the notes from Rob_e it sounded like the earlier TSI engines may have been fitted with this too. So, I can confirm the car is running back to normal, smiles are back on my face and here's another added to the list of TSI engines with a DV that apparently should've been updated already... Part was about 55 pounds and was in stock at TPS... I chose this route vs. warranty for speed and simplicity.
  6. Personally I have no idea... but keep us up to date!
  7. Evenin'... Did you ever find out if it's possible to turn these on? Perhaps via VCDS? Anyone any ideas? Sounds more likely to be software / setting related rather than physically disconnected. Unless it's a different connector into the unit for Xenon? Or perhaps I shouldn't worry about it! Cheers...
  8. Thanks chaps, Got some on the way from Craigs Plates. Ordered a pair, although it's only the rear that has distorted on the existing set. Cheers.
  9. Standard plates, standard lettering, black outline, GB symbol / EU stars, no footer. Just spaced outside of the 'road use' guidelines! For when I'm at shows obviously...
  10. Could anyone possibly recommend me an online showplate supplier they've had positive results from? I've had a set from one company that have only survived 6 washes. I could continue the back and forth with their CS dept. but even if they issue FOC replacements, they'll still be the same (poor) quality. Thanks. P.S. I did try the search function a couple of times...
  11. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/170017-highest-mileage-on-vrs-tdi-pd/page__p__2066705__hl__170+touran__fromsearch__1#entry2066705 That thread might help? In relation to my post about the Touran, it's on 111k now and the G201 / ABS / ESP fault has just occured.
  12. I'm in exactly the same place. 6 months old and the idea of replacement worries me also.
