  1. Hi All, I have a 2008 Estate Octavia (elegance model), basically in September the rear wash jet came off/stopped working, never used since the rear spray. Today got around to taking to bits and repair the hose of the brake light. All fine and fixed, brake light fully works, put car back together..... But now the the rear wiper & heated rear window dose not work! you press the switch of latter and noting on dashboard.... same with rear wiper. Took off the covers again to check any knocked out cables and nothing, all appear fine, the cable that feeds in to the number plate light works and boot lock on the loom just the wiper and heater. Any one have any ideas to what might be the problem and how to fix? many thanks, james.

  6. The main reason for Golf MK6 was so more profit can be made out of car by using costly german workers than keep using mk5, I read a while back mk6 takes near 17 hours less time to build than mk5.

  8. I did not order my car with in 08 as would have to wait ages.... But to retro fit it needs a dealer to perform 'a dashpod swap' like the not working etc. Then of course you need a uk mph pod and this satarts getting very expensive! Plus my local was very cold on idea too, which kind of put me off somewhat. Why don't you buy Vagcom (VCDS) and you then do on the moding and more via that? £250. I know won't look as nice but avlot simpler! James
  9. Hear you go a vrs keyring https://shop.skoda-auto.de/skoda-motorsport.html Now just someone that is going to Germany etc to bring one back for you! James
  10. They did some upto about 2009 in the uk, I have a very nice metal strip one with Skoda on it plus they did a leather one. Still make them but not brought into the uk! James
  11. There's a bluetoth hands free thing that goes ware glass holder is, it's called blue connect and match trim colour. Have you checked to see if you can repair the catch? James
  12. One of the main reasons why compressors fail is that people turn off the air con, therefore the compressor does not get any air con oil. A friend has a Fiat camper van, 8 months old the compressor went when he went to switch on, as you only used once beforehand. James
  13. Sometimes with aux port you might find your cable you are using is not fitting tight onto the car or phone etc. Change cables for a small profile one. Or if using a iPhone/iPod try a dock to headphone/aux cable as these give better sound out than just headphone/aux. James
  14. No you can do a mod with strip dlr to side if fogs but this is a bit naff really. The next option get the car programed via VCDS/VAGCOM/Dealer to place the headlights on, 3 main options. Full lights on but no inside lights, full lights on but at reduced power (eg 75% of main) and no inside and just frount lights on only (no back). James
