  1. I'll be honest - I think these are not all they are cracked up to be - for one very simple reason. Whilst mine does dim, and effectively stops glare from rear view mirror, the side mirrors don't dim, so you still get the glare from those, especially when being tailgated.
  2. trust me, you'll know if it works. Go out at night, get someone on your tail. Hit the on off button on the mirror and compare the difference. When it kicks in, its subtle but very effective. Sometimes i have wondered if it is working.... till i turn it off and see what the mirror is really seeing.
  3. ?? I do find these comments about gear changes funny. We;'ve been driving for decades and decades. I personally have been driving for 20 years, and in my job do a hell of a lot of miles per year. I have NEVER had a sore arm from gear changes.. How on earth did we cope before DSG??
  4. I dont think I have that option on my maxidot?
  5. 170 CR here, with 1000 miles. Average since getting car is about 45 mpg, mix of a roads and motorway drives.
  6. jcblincs - sorry - I haven't taken pics of my car as yet, but I can assure you, that it is NOT "not much different to black as you say". When mine arrived, it struck me as being much lighter than I expected. Mine is covered in salt spray from roads, and doesn't look to dirty. I also suggested on other post that it looked similar to your own car in the photos you took pre-delivery with your mobile. I accept its darker than yours, but nowhere near black... and I own one!
  7. very nice - is it anthracite or steel - looks identical to my anthracite model. Mine with black interior also though. 600 odd miles on mine now, and just done its first motorway run - unsurprisingly, that's where it excels - I found it a joy to drive, quiet, and very comfortable. Question though - anyone else finding that with aircon on "auto" the windscreen fogs up a little, requiring a switch to manual setting directing flow to the windows. In previous cars I've had with auto climate control, the standard, "auto" setting once the car was to the desired temperature was to direct the flow to the windscreen. Clearly not the case on the Superb
  8. well, mine was a fleet purchase! Since getting mine, two days before christmas, I've seen 3 others in my town!
  9. that's odd, by brand new Superb was delivered with Dunlops (yuk!)
  10. sorry -been away - will get pics sorted. Re an earlier post - the setup options only allow dimming of the Bolero display, not turning it off - it bothers me. Otherwise - about 300 on the clock now, and I love it. Heated seats are the best I've ever had.
  11. heh heh - no - nice and quiet would have been a better turn of phrase
  12. Look out when I refuel it? Why? To update - was intrigued by the interior light thing - dark now, and just been out to it. The dimmer dial takes my dash down to a more than acceptable level of light. Full on is way way too bright. Full low is nice on the dials, but heater controls, etc are too low - got mine set about 1/4 way up. Still annoyed I can't blank the bolero screen. also - the catseyes lights in the roof - I thought they were supposed to be red - mine are whiteish blue.
  13. I've been looking at comments on the dash lights, but not been dark enough to test how low they go. The dial does dim them, but will check on drive home tonight whether it's dimming enough. What is the current consensus? Is this fixable or not - I'll be peeved if I've got a bright dash, as I like a dim car at night. Already bothered I can't turn the bolero screen off.
