  1. Thanks for all the replies. Will start looking around. 👍
  2. Just looking for a boot liner for my 2006 hatch. Are the estate and hatch the same size?
  3. I think they are m8 not sure on length. Maybe 15mm? Mine were slightly corroded and the Allen key would not sit in perfectly but managed to do it just. Just make sure your in well and lined up before undoing the bolt. You could probably replace the Allen bolts with normal bolts when you refit (up to you I guess). Good luck.
  4. Not T5. 5mm Allen (hex). Using a torx bit will knacker up the bolt head and then it's game over. If at first you don't succeed etc lol. Go in from underneath lying on your back and reach up.
  5. Yes that's correct. Quite easy. Undo connector, 3x 5mm (if I remember rightly)Allen key bolts. Pull out old one shove in new one etc. Bit fiddly to do upper bolt as working blind but easy enough as long as bolt heads aren't f@@@d. Make sure Allen key in well before turning as can strip bolt head and then it's a nightmare!
  6. Drop links. Almost guarantee it! Cheap and easy to replace.
  7. I had bluefin and changed to R-tech and believe me the difference is a LOT. Go to see the R-tech boys you will not be disappointed! They do proper rolling road remap and tune your car to the best it can offer. They are even cheaper than bluefin and do all the pre health checks to make sure all is ok beforehand. Even if it's a few hours travel time it's worth it, the journey home will fly by!!
  8. Yesterday I changed from my Goodyear eagle f1 aysm 2's to my winter nokian wra3's and traction has improved. I have a petrol vrs pushing about 250bhp so similar to OP. The weather still isn't exactly wintery was 7 - 9 degrees and slightly damp roads but apparently some cold weather is finally arriving soon? Tyres definitely make some difference. You will however always have traction issues with Lots of power and FWD sorry ;(
  9. I was reading somewhere about upgrading to a Bentley key. Obviously would need cutting and coding to car but I think it can work. Think I read about it on R32 owners site.?
  10. Ignore me! It works. Realised you have to be driving not sat on the drive.
  11. Brilliant tips Mike! Just got vcds to code a new gateway for a retro Columbus and using some of your other useful guides all went well. However I tried some of these and got twin fogs and longer time between headlight washes but can only get rear teardrop wipe? Front won't do it despite all boxes ticked etc as per your guide. Any ideas? Cheers.
  12. Can you buy just the rear? I've only ever seen them sold in pairs. Would be interested in one if could be bought separately. From what I gather front doesn't make a massive difference like the rear, is this true?
