Decibel thanks for explaining this.

The black mirror covers look great

KB I would suggest some decent all-season tyres to go with which ever car you end up buying. They will help a lot for the conditions you described you will have to drive in. Or if funds allow: summer tyres and steelies with winter tyres, for assured grip in the colder months.

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/skoda/87968/skoda-to-launch-big-suv-in-2016 I know this subject has been discussed in the past, but those wanting a more or less full size SUV will have to wait until 2016. The AE rendering smacks of the VW touareg. Its gotta be called Sasquatch, right?

Hope these photos help. Lost the ginger/white husky this time last year (have a 1 year old rescue white husky bitch now) We have done some long journeys with the dogs, and had no problems, making sure they are kept cool enough having thick winter coats. But our next car may have a larger boot as the wife wants more room for these type of holidays. The main consideration for more than one dog is do they get along? The jack russel pictured is the sister in laws and had to be tied to the side rail as she liked to crawl all over our car once we set off. Thankfully we only looked after her for just 3 weeks while they were in South America. She is a very anti-social dog and was rightly so, fearful of big Blade, who frankly wouldn't give her the time of day. The rear seats are set back as far as possible.

Looks like a bad smash. Glad the wifes ok, is she the horse rider to? Noticed the boots and crop in boot, my daughters have lessons every Sunday, and our Yeti's boot has helmets and body protectors hanging off the handy boot hooks.

Celtic Tuning are stating a stage 2 remap of the 110 TDI Yeti to 206 BHP, (404NM) If this is the case, yes bigger, better brakes would be needed. :|

My issue with What Car is the user reviews section. Twice I have posted positive reviews of my experiences of my 2 Yeti's, twice they have been removed for no apparent reason to be replaced with pretty negative user reviews. What's all that about?

Here's the link..... http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/skoda/yeti/87155/skoda-yeti-xtreme-concept-revealed I quite like it! Has a hint of the Land rover Defender replacement, that caused quite a stir a while back.?

Alternatively - their are the 1.6 and 2.0 litre diesel 2WD Yeti's. I average 50mpg through the warmer months, 40ish in the winter (2.0 litre 110 bhp) Had a few journeys caught in slower moving motorway traffic (50mph) and I often average over 60mpg, that's with 5 of us on board. Had no DPF issues and my wife and I both drive the car with mixed motorway and city driving. Choices choices??

Great choice of engine and colour, I'm sure you'll love it for many years.

Even covered in the Daily Mail... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/cars/article-2611229/Best-cars-2014-Skoda-takes-slots-Auto-Express-awards.html ...and someone at my work told me, I am not a Mail reader

Managed 61 - 66mpg today, on a 135 mile round trip to Kielder. On-board: 2 adults, 3 kids (2 of them teens) and 2 large dogs in boot, plus lots of picnic stuff. Mileage is just under 10,000 miles, so the engine has loosened up nicely. OK we did get stuck behind a logging truck for quite a while on the way home, but a fair bit of motorway driving too. I know this isn't the recommended on the fuel cap, but I have found over the years, having all 4 tyres at 39-40 PSI helps both in fuel economy and handling on long journeys.

You may also notice a rubbery burning smell from the exhausts, again all part of a regen.

I'm waiting for the local tyre fitter to call me, as mine are being swapped over to. Cold mornings, but pretty warm days here.
