  1. Good news she's fixed. was simply the case that the shock absorber wasn't sitting square in it's holder causing it to rattle. They have re-seated it and now she's quiet and back to her own self.
  2. I very rarely, see the MPG drop below 53mpg, My daily 80 mile motorway commute see's mid to high 50's and in some cases 60+ just look at my fuelly results below.
  3. I've used a Boot Buddy for the last 4 years. took it out this weekend and the boot looks like new. We have a white Springer Spaniel and no sign of dog hair at all. Highly recommend this. I did a full review 4 years ago on this site, just search for boot-buddy or go to www.boot-buddy.com
  4. since January 2015 I've been doing approx. 800 miles a week, all motorway driving. Lots of road works have resulted in lots of 50mph running which really helps the fuel economy and in the summer fuel economy improves with the higher temperatures She's still a tight as she was when I took delivery of her. Over the last 4 years there has only been 2 major issues Electric seats through a wobbly and needed the memory clearing All 4 doors and the rear quarters have been re-sprayed due to zinc corrosion in the paint (known warranty issue) She's been the best car I've had and the local dealer (Furrows Oswestry) have been exceptional. She's been such a good car that we are buying her from the lease company this month to use as my wife's car. Would I have another Yeti. Let me think....Yes Yes Yes. Unfortunately we need a bigger car so it ruled out a 2nd Yeti, but in 4 years time the bigger Skoda SUV will be at the top of the list and hopefully the Yeti will still be going strong.
  5. Well she's in Furrows at Oswestry for them to find the culprit. Up to them replacing the bump stops it was perfectly quiet, to drive it you'd be hard pressed to realise that she'd clocked over 100k. Just hoping they find the fault and fix it for me.
  6. Well the yeti has just clocked 100000miles today. Still as tight as s drum apart from a crashing sound from the rear drivers side that appeared yesterday after the deliver replaced the perished bump stops. Ringing the dealer tomorrow to get it back in sharpish. Here's to the next 100000 miles of happy motoring.
  7. Mine had the rear bump stops replaced yesterday and now on the Drivers side rear when driving over rough ground or over sleeping policemen I get what can best be described as a crash like a box of stones bouncing in the boot. The boot is empty and everything is tied down. Any ideas as to what could have caused this and where to look as I've only 10 days left on the lease before I buy her and I want to get anything expensive replaced before the end. From reading above it looks like it could be bushes related. Thanks
  8. Thanks for the support. Really wanted another Yeti when lease expires in March next year, but needed a bigger boot. Limited options on our lease policy restricted us to the following Q3 base model - no thanks X1 base model - no thanks Yeti 2wd upto SE+ spec - backwards step from the top spec Elegance that we have, didn't have the spec that i wanted. Zenons, Leather etc. Boot too small now with a growing family and dogs. All VAG models have been removed from lease list until further notice, because of the scandal, so no longer an option RR Evoque - expensive and very small inside. didn't fit Mazda CX-5 top spec - good engine (maximises return Pence per Mile being a 2.2diesel), good mpg (averaged 56mpg fill to fill over 800 miles on the demo), excellent kit level, comfortable and plenty of space. We love our yeti so much we are going to buy it at the end of the lease as our 2nd car. Even though it will probably have over 130K miles on the clock. The only thing that is showing signs of wear is a small patch of worn leather on the drivers seat and a slightly shiny steering wheel.
  9. Unfortuantely, I don't have that luxury. The Yeti has to be replaced next year (company lease) so have gone for a Mazda CX-5 Sport, but am buying the Yeti for the wife.
  10. cheers Everyone, I'll get it looked at by the main dealer at it's next service which due in a few weeks.
  11. Just a quick one. Has anyone had a clutch changed and at what mileage? I've got 90k miles on mine and i think it's getting near to needing a change as the pedal goes almost all the way down before the clutch dis-engages. Advice greatfully recieved thanks
  12. Have to say i've had 90k miles of trouble free yeti ownership. I've been affected by the zinc rust problem on all passenger and drivers doors. Skoda quickly agreed a full bare metal strip and re-spray. Other than that nothing else. I'd have another Yeti if there was a bigger one.
  13. I too had the paint blistering on the rear doors, and strangley on the leading edge of the front doors by the mirrors. Skoda has agreed to a bare metal respray by a local VW approved independant body shop for all 4 doors. This body shop did paint depth checks and the lower parts of the doors have less paint than the tops, so could this be a painting issue? So just awaiting the monster to return. Cannot fault Skoda in this matter, they didnt argue at all.
  14. So the Greenline is no more real shame they didn't opt for the 1.6tdi from the octavia as that is meant to be a sweet engine.
  15. hands up, I had been following his citigo project and totally missed his yeti project, how dumb do i feel. Hats off to him. Balls as big as space hoppers. just spent the last 5 hours reading the project thread.
