  1. This is the second vRS I've had now where both front electric windows have stopped working. It is the motor itself that has failed as I have swapped the bits on my other vRS. Given the cost of a new motor, I'm just wondering if anyone has taken the motor apart and diagnosed what would seem to be the common fault?
  2. Thanks vrsrs. I just want a fair deal for both myself and the seller without it hanging around for too long. I've had a lot of interest but Richard was first.
  3. 2005 black Fabia vRS. 107k, 12 months tax, 6 months MoT, XENONs, CRUISE. £2795. Near Bristol This is a very reluctant sale of my 2005 Fabia vRS. I am unexpectedly selling as I've got a job in America for three years and I don't want the car sat for that long unused. It is an unmolested, high factory spec Fabia in black magic with reasonably low mileage (107k). It has good service history and the cambelt was changed by Unit 18 in 2012. It currently wants for nothing, having had two new michelins on the front a few thousand miles ago and two new Nankang tyres on the rear last week (tracking was done at the same time). I've also just TAXED it for 12 months as I Didn't expect to be going to America. The good Factory fitted extras including XENONs, CRUISE CONTROL, rear sun blind, parcel shelf and rear wheel arch storage bags (very rare), etc Aftermarket Rear anti roll bar - transforms the handling; should have been standard spec IMO! Service history incl cambelt change (unit 18) in 2012. Last serviced by me using pd oil at 100k. 12 MONTHs TAX and ~6 months mot Air conditioning blows ice cold Seats are in excellent clean condition with no holes 4 good tyres - 2 replaced last week. Tracking done at the same time 2 REMOTE KEYS 2 previous owners, IIRC The bad A few age related marks including a small mark on the rear door where someone has opened their door on it in a car park The car is priced keenly to sell at £2795 and viewing is possible at Keynsham, near Bristol from Monday 11th August onwards - I can't do before as I'm away with work until then. I will get some pictures up shortly. I'm not moving out to America for a few months yet so no silly offers please - if you can't afford this one then perhaps you may be interested in my other black vRS (yes I've got two!) which will be up for sale in a few months time...
  4. Dave, yes the panels are interchangeable. I think you're looking for door panels aren't you? In which case you will new to swap over the door cards on all doors and the electrics and mirrors on the front door
  5. Vrsrs, yes the bonnet is still available, with or without grill Steamfan, I'm almost certain they're drums on the rear, sorry BCP, driver door seal should be fine. I'm working away this week so will check on Saturday. Just responding to PMs now
  6. Front and rear seats removed from a very low mileage mk1 fabia. The seats have no visible wear and the bolsters are very firm. There are no rips/tears/holes/burns and the car has never to my knowledge been smoked in. Price wise, they're a bargain at £65 collected from Keynsham, near Bristol. Also have all other interior parts (bar one seat belt) available. Happy to split as the car is going to the scrap yard soon.
  7. Will have a look oil; what is the quickest and easiest way to check? Not a dash out job is it?
  8. Unfortunately I haven't got one f those mate, plus I'm looking for one myself for my vRS!
  9. Still got plenty of parts available. Someone asked about the front lights - I'm going to polish the front light lenses so they will be as clear as they come new, if anyone is interested. Both are genuine and all lugs are undamaged.
  10. If be interested in the exhaust (turbo back) if it's in good condition. How much posted?
  11. Yes the wheels are still available although I have had quite a bit of interest in them
  12. Happy to sell without the tyres if anyone is worried about compatibility
  13. Most people do run 205 40 because it works out the same diameter as the standard 16" alloys. I've had no issues with 205 45 but then my car only has a small drop...
