  1. Do they do the Cupra in 4 doors?Probably not. Going by the pictures the Seat looks positively dated inside and certainly not of the polo quality. We love the Gti, nearly had it a year and 8k odd miles it's great fun to drive and brilliant value for money. Although.. I've just checked drive the deal and the Cupra can be had with a £4159 discount making it £13,875!!! That is a bargain and I could live with 2 doors and not so nice plastic at that price.
  2. If you read my post, it tells you where the rattle is from and how to cure it. The servo pipes run across the bulk head on the passenger side. They rattle at certain revs and under acceleration .
  3. Worth checking the brake pipes that come off the servo and run across the bulkhead. I had this issue when my Yeti was new, there was a fairly long thread on here, it's a very noticeable vibration/ rattle at tick over and low revs. I solved it quite easily with some dense foam and cable ties to pack behind the pipes, the cable ties just pulled all the pies together tightly .
  4. After nearly 5 years and 35k miles I said goodbye to my Yeti today. Of all the cars I've owned I don't think I've been so sorry to see one go, it's done everything I asked of it and been a joy. The last 3k odd miles I think it's been at its best, it seemed smoother and quieter and not a rattle or squeak, perhaps it knew it was going. This forum has been great, full of knowledgable and helpful people, I'll certainly be popping back in from time to time and in the process of trying to talk my son into a Citigo Sport for his first car if he passes his test next week.
  5. Not 100% but on the polo forum I'm sure it was mentioned that the auto locking can be activated via VCDS, it can't be activated by the options on the head unit, I've tried.
  6. Auto locking No Needle sweep Yes Windows by remote Yes
  7. I don't know anyone with VCDS to do it but what would they do that the techs at West End can't, I'm thinking they have caused a fault somewhere as it was working perfectly when it originally went in.
  8. Update. Took the car back on the Tuesday before Christmas, they again reset the service indicator, it's still showing blank as of today having covered about 100 odd miles. They couldn't find an issues with it with West End service department advising it may take up to 1000 miles to show, yes 1000 miles because it's been reset a few times now! Looking for some advice on what to do next, give them another chance to sort it, difficult as they will just say leave it for 1000miles, take it elsewhere and bill West End, or contact Skoda?
  9. Ok, now for the latest.. Went into maxi dot setting myself and found service reset, clicked ok and it's now showing service in 365 days or 9400 miles. Question is and hoping someone can advise, the car should be on variable servicing so I'm assuming this is wrong and now on fixed servicing going by the countdown?
  10. Yeti booked back in next Tuesday as the service indictator hasn't started to count down, still showing two - - for days and miles. I have no idea what the technician has done and by telephone conversation neither do they. 3 visits in as many weeks!
  11. The indicator never reset, 9 days and around 300 miles later the car went back for its Haldex oil change and the technicians to check the indicator. I was informed that it would now count down within a short period after they have correctly re set.... 4 days later and 100 ish miles and it still hasn't started to count down. I don't know what they've done to the maxi dot but I can see another visit to the dealer on the horizon.
  12. Thanks all, I'll check it on Monday, parked up for the weekend! Small mention for West End Gargae, not often I'm completely satisfied with the service department but both times I've used them they have been good, very friendly and efficient which is more than I hear about certain dealers in Glasgow. One down side was the nearly new Octavia courtesy car, I think it had all of 40bhp!!
  13. Thanks, it was annoying me, though I know the cars is going back in soon for the Haldex oil change so would have been sorted then.
  14. Yeti was in for it major service today at west end garage in Bannockburn and apart from a couple of advisory points on the health check ( wipers and front discs) all was well although it's going to need the Haldex oil changed too. The car is on variable servicing and I noticed once home that the maxi dot is now not showing how many days and miles until next service, just two dashes. I called them at the dealer and they said it takes time to re calibrate before showing info which seems strange as I don't recall it doing that after the previous service. Anyone seen this before or am I going to have to go back in to dealer to have it reset?
