  1. Have you got anything plugged into the ciggy socket, or patched anything for 12v power? Lots of cheap 12v transformers cause interference (they get powered on and off with the ignition which may explain why the radio is clearer when ignition is off). Changed my aerial before I figured that out :-/
  2. I just replaced all of mine just now; They were done a year ago by dealership. Apart from the air and pollen filter, they were absolutely filthy! In fact, worryingly so. Given how easy they are to change and I think for something like £5, I may consider changing them every 6-months. Overkill I know but seems like a small price to pay.
  3. Ooh... interesting. Would be interested in a RARB for a Mkii Octavia. Any prices come through yet; happy to call AKS direct...
  4. Not certain about the VRS but for my 2.0 TDI, there are a number of filters available and I think I'm right in saying you can't tell from model number/year. Only certain way is to check the filter housing - what it looks like or part number and get the matching filter. This is what I used: http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/a5/2009-2010-VW-TDI-fuel-filter.htm Hope that helps...
  5. Do you have the (i) dash storage box with lid and (ii) ashtray? Ta.
  6. Hi vwdan - sent you a pm but thought I'd ask here as well... has this gone yet?
  7. I had my 2.0 TDI remapped (Shark) at 75k on the clock. Now at 95k and turbo and clutch are fine. MPG is the same as or slightly better than before, depending on mood Very happy with the improved pick-up, pull through the rev range and top end. However, even when driving in a more relaxed manner, the extra power does make things effortless. Like you, I was looking to chop in and upgrade (maybe to a VRS) but looking at a bigger turbo now
  8. Hi Imp - just a heads up, there's a group buy on Bilsteins at the moment (via the R32OC site). 15-20% off but is due to close soon. Can't say if they'll be any good or not but something to factor in...
  9. Tempted, very tempted. Are these 17" 5 x 112?
  10. thanks for the info sadexpunk; Latvian chap for me too...
  11. Hi Sadexpunk - please let us know how much the seller is charging for doing the painting; looking for silvers ones myself. Ta
  12. M12MKD - thanks for the heads-up. I'll post here but happy to sign-up at r32 and post there too... I'll be up for some B14's for my Octy II; I think they're the same as the mkV Golf but tbc. Sauf
  13. This thread has got me thinking... I've just upgraded my front disks to 312mm and all is fine as I have 17" wheels. I've just checked and the spare I've got is a speed restricted 16". Now.... if I get a flat on the front, will the 16" fit on the new disks or is it only 15" which will cause problems? If I'm not mistaken, the VRS has 312mm disks as standard and according to gsp above, they have a 16" spare so I may be worrying about nothing. However, don't fancy having to do a juggling trick with the wheels if I do get a flat!
  14. I'd be (very) interested if these will go onto a pre-FL mark II Octavia. Edit - reading around (http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/226191-312mm-brakes/) looks like the mk I and mk II 312mm setup are different; shame, looks like I'll have to pass on this one.
  15. I'l take a set for a pre-FL Oct II if there's any left Let me know payment details etc... Thanks
