  1. Well I'm suspecting people are hopping our backs at night and yesterday morning I noticed a dent in the taxis bonnet, so I've decided to get a garage, I've had the foundations down for a few years 19ft 1", by 10ft 8" it's the garage itself with the co create building steel up and over door and a wooden side door it's coming to £3240, with a 30% discount! does the price sound good?
  2. Well I'd be more than happy with 50k miles, as my superb is a taxi and has a lot of town driving with the odd time on a motorway every week
  3. Your brake pads lasted? My superb is on 47,000 miles and all original brake pads, looked at them yesterday and I'd say the fronts still have about 3k on them, not bad eh?
  4. Took it in yesterday and told me the exhaust is leaking, so it's to go in on Tuesday to be fixed
  5. when i was on the motorway today i glanced at the dash and the glow plug light was flashing in and out? anyone could give any possible diagnosis and its booked into skoda tomorrow to get checked, when ever its under load its making a small noise i cant really tell what it is but if i had to take a stab in the dark i'd say turbo bearings?
  6. got a puncture today on the rear offside wheel, took it to the tyre shop and when they removed the tyre it was nearly below 1.6 ml, it's been on the car since new so it's covered 42,000 miles, but upon removal of the tyre we found out there was an excessive amount of wear on the inside of the tyre, I'm thinking it's a wheel bearing, put the rear right window down and drove for a bit and I must say there is a bit of a whine, taking it in next week for it to be inspected. Would it be covered by warrenty, 2013/62 plate 42,000 mile?
  7. Denis mk2 superb 62 plate I'm at the age 67, always though of it as an elderly mans car
  8. Was sitting in traffic today, and realised a brand spanking new Octavia vrs TDI 14 plate in front me, honestly looks amazing, trumps the new golf miles away, honestly the best looking car Skoda of anyone in the VAG group have made
  9. Yesterday the superb went in for its second variable service yesterday, I asked them the check the suspension , cause last week I has a hire full load, and came up to a big set of speed humps that the superb usually deals it with ease, but the other day with full load I had to stop the car to actually stop the underside scraping the hump, luckily no serious damage was done and on the Vhc they didn't find any faults in the suspension, but they asked me to bring it back on Wednesday and they will do a full suspension check and they have ordered in a set of shockers just in case it needs them, but it has only done 36500 miles, it's a twin door 62 plate 1.6 TDI cr (non greenline) anyone else know of suspension probs??

  11. Superbs a bit big to be throwing round corners like a hot hatch the standard setup would do I think
  12. I hate parking in public car parks, I usually return to my car with a new dent if,scuff on it, so if I do I try and park at an end bay so only one person car park next to me. Bad luck with your superb, hopefully just a new light cluster and t cut should fix everything
  13. Yep my superb had to get a scrape on the left front door fies and the body shop took th door off , but he started the car whilst the door was disconnected and the computer didn't detect the impact sensor on the door and airbag light came on, luckily a garage was next to his bodyshop and he connected his computer and reset the sensor and the light went out
  14. I'm a taxi driver and most of my work is in town, my superb is a 1.6 TDI 5 speed and most of the time in town I will get max into 4th, I tend to change gears really early but if I get on the motorway which is usually minimal of 3 times a week I will give it a nice boot up the motorway at high revs
