  1. Cool okay thanks for that. I'll maybe go back to my dealer and see if I can convince them :-$ I've done the playlist fix now which has speeded it up a bit. Wrote a powershell script to do it for me :-) Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
  2. I had my car serviced at Blade Skoda in Bristol this and similarly had no luck with getting them to fix this. Only just found this thread so all I asked for them to do was look for an update to speed the sd card access. No luck, only answer I got was there is no update for the stereo and perhaps it because I have a lot of data on the card :-S Gavin if there is an indirect fix for this perhaps you need to feed this back to Skoda Uk and they can in turn filter this out to other dealers? Is the fix you describe applicable to all bolero units? Mine is in a 2010 Octavia.
  3. My tip would be if you're thinking of getting it off a dealer when you buy the car definitely barter: I recently bought a nearly new Octavia from a dealer. They offered me £50 discount immediately off their so called full price of £450. I said I'd do some investigation and confirm when I picked the car up. They started on about it again when I went back in. I advised I'd seen quotes online of £180 thinking that would stop them dead but... they matched it!
  4. Hi, I've recently got myself a nice (nearly) new Octavia VRS (TDi) and have been working on feeding the power cable for my phone cable to the 12v socket. I undid a screw holding the 'carpet' onto the side of the centre console in the passenger footwell so I could get my hand in the back and feed the cable through from the drivers side. Trouble is now the screw doesn't seem to 'screw in' to anything.. :-S I'm going to have another go tonight but wondered if anyone knew if there might be a washer or something that has dropped down..? Ideally I'd rather not have to feed the cable to the 12v socket. Its a usb cable, has anyone hard wired this into the car before? Cheers
