I spent quite a lot of time in North Wales, walking, climbing, kayaking etc. Fantastic scenery, great mountains. Pretty much all forms of mountain sport and water activities go on up there, so it's probably your best choice. Brecon is ok, but lacking in the water activities, and not as many mountains/climbs, and south wales isnt much different to England. Look into the top end of North Wales, Pembrokeshire. No shortage of guest houses, hotels, campsites etc., and easy access to both the sea and hills. Have fun!

Yeah spec'd a few for a project at work, just to tag on to a DVD recorder to make sure the camera is working. Can easily get them for under £150, lots of makes now, competition is fierce. And if you're talking big TVs, then LCD if you want it for PC throughput as well as TV, but plasma if never being connected to a PC.

Still not got offroad tyres, and still used to take kids to school.

Welcome to Briskoda! Sorry you've had problems, there are some shoddy dealers around. There's actually a forum on Briskoda listing various Skoda dealers and places to comment on them - have a look and see if either of yours are there, or if theres another nearby recommended one. The radio transmitters and itrips are just terrible. Buy a PhatBox - well worth the money. Or a vRS and listen to the turbo instead of music

Since last November, so 10months. Not bored at all, and recently told a friend that the car is for keeps cos Im well pleased with it.

And the door ribbons stayed on at 60mph too. Through the village *cough* country roads lol.

I still cant see why we're comparing a Leon with an Octy, have you not seen inside the boot? Completely different style of car. Unless it's just the performance and price you're comparing, in which case anyone care to add a 2seater to the discussion?

I do love memory seats. Shame I havent got them in the Octy. I tend to raise the seat first, then tilt the back and pull the headrest down. I like the octy's mirrors; ability to adjust both at once by selecting R.
