The whole car insurance system needs to change. Companies can get away with treating people like dirt because they know you have to have it, even the place i got insured with their initial quote was 750 and after telling them it was way too high it suddenly started dropping and i got it for 395. God knows if i could of had it cheaper then that even!? Its a joke. Seems like they will do everything to punish you for mods and where you live and park your car but hardly offer you anything going the other way.

Yup its already done the rounds at halfords in york where i work, can't wait for episode 2 . Its so true tho there is some absolute idiots on bikes.

I work in retail so i have the up most understanding of the ups and downs of customer service and what constitutes good customer service, i can promise you i didnt go into it with any attitude i was just looking to be helped in a situation that required a slight element of thinking outside the box. As i said it was like night and day when i called up the next company that someone on here recommended me. If it would help you out, just let me know the information you would like and ill do my best. I used to hear lots of good things about adrian flux which is why i was disappointed.

Wasn't the fact they didn't do that, its the fact that they offered no alternative, customer service was non existent. I went with a company that gave me a good quote, i told them my situation and said they would not charge me for any other fees to change address as part of the deal, put a note on my file registered the car to my current address, and told me to simply ring them back to let them know when i'm in the new address. It was what Adrian Flux should have been.

So with starting to have a couple mods to my car i thought it would be time to get some more specific insurance this time around. Filled in the details on the website and awaited the call, which promptly came. I was asked basic detail and put through to the right department, where i was not so much greeted, but questioned by what i can only describe as a robotic humanoid (possibly female?) with a slightly chavy accent. The usual questions ensued, we got as far as postcode at which point i was told 'it doesnt exist' i then proceeded to say it most certainly does exist as i am moving there in a matter of weeks. I was then questioned by the gestapo why i wanted the insurance from the 12th as i am moving on the 26th to which i said 'because that is unfortunately when my cover runs out'. I was then told i could not do this and that i would have to take cover out where i was for 2 weeks and then transfer to the new address and pay admin fees and any other charges. I then asked if there was any alternative such as temporary cover to which i was told 'no' at which point i wished the fembot a pleasant day and hung up the phone feeling very disappointed. I had hoped that Adrian Flux was a company of like minded car enthusiasts, doing their best to help, but my dreams are now shattered...... never again.

Cheers Phil, yeah i think they improved it quite a lot to get it better then parrot, the rep that came round said they spend a ridiculous amount of money on research. Like i said if i had a use for it it would already be installed. Thanks again

Not as fancy, but not been done much before i dont think, octy silverline alloys on fabia

Finally got round to fitting lowering springs shocks and octy silverline alloys

So thought id revive my (very) old thread instead of creating a new one, finally got round to lowering on apex springs and got a good deal on some sachs supertouring gas shocks. Also put octavia silverline alloys on as i got a good deal off a member on here. Let me know what you guys think?
