  1. As lots of you will know, the My Skoda apps have been combined into one app. Previously when I used Apple CarPlay in my Kodiaq (2020 2.0 TDI 190 Sportline) I could click on the app and get loads of info - including real time driving data but I now just get an error message sometimes saying it just can’t connect and then sometimes saying my car isn’t compatible with Smartlink + !? Any ideas anyone?
  2. My dealer sorted in about 5 minutes 😃. It's a neat feature!
  3. Thanks for this. I'm now thinking I should stick with my Amundsen! I'm just frustrated by the small screen and lack of options......maybe I should be careful what I wish for!
  4. A really interesting write up. I was considering getting this Kenwood unit for my Superb........not so sure now. Have you got any photos of it in situ?
  5. To be fair, it's nicely centred in the 'bay' .
  6. Our Yeti and Superb have it. As Manlms says it just provides a nice gentle glow to the car interior at night - I really like it.
  7. After three years we've got a Yeti in the family again! Love it.
  8. I've had the Next Base setup before and the quality of the actual units is pretty good with good picture quality and decent sound. The only fly in the ointment was the fact that the holders into which the screens clicked in to rattled like nobody's business.........constantly, which drove me round the bend! Shame, as otherwise pretty good.
  9. Disagree I'm afraid. I love my diesel with the DSG. Also had the last gen Octy VRS with DSG and diesel. Loved that too!
  10. That is sooooooo annoying! Bad luck :-(
  11. I have a 140 DSG Estate.......averaging 47mpg (mostly town driving) and the best I've had is 61mpg on a motorway trip of around 300 miles although quite a chunk was through 50mph limit with average speed cameras!
  12. I've had both engines in recent years - currently have the 140 as I wanted the Black Edition and that's what was available. Having been initially worried about losing the 30 horses I needn't have been concerned. The real life performance is seemingly little changed. Okay, it may have a little less poke when going for a tightish overtake but the 140 certainly isn't lacking. On the motorway you won't notice the difference. In terms of economy, the 140 gets 3 or 4 additional mpg on the same trips. My insurance dropped too which I assume is to do with the engine. So, I would say you'd be happy with the 170 but equally happy with the 140. Both good engines that suit the car. Hope this helps.
  13. I have the same system in my Superb and mine just switches itself off. Similar to yours MrCat it only happens shortly after starting the car. It's booked in to the dealer to get it sorted.........
