  1. i'm swaying towards a Shark map myself - would anyone be able to give an opinion if you need to have the DSG box mapped as well to get the most out of it? Some people say you have to as the box has a torque limiter, others (Angel Tuning in Banbury for example) say to leave the DSG box well alone as it causes too many problems, and the torque limiter is in the ECU itself.... Would love to hear opinions to help sway my decision Cheers!
  2. Thank you for that, John. I'm going from a 22" monitor, so it's quite a jump, but I don't think I need to go the extra mile and get a 1440 as I won't be doing any photo or video editing. Dave
  3. Lovely! Ideally I need to get it from Amazon as i've got/getting a load of vouchers, so i'll see what's what spec wise. Thanks again guys!
  4. Brilliant, thanks! I'm guessing the refresh rate isn't really a big deal either, as the XBone only outputs 60Hz anyway. I was thinking something along the lines of this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00HZF2ME0/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d0_i2?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0GFK3JH4E5B337CJ3SDN&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=455344027&pf_rd_i=468294
  5. Excellent point well made! I hadn't thought that through - I guess 1080p will be fine for the PC as it's not being used for any photo/video editing. I can't really do a 32" TV as i'm sat about a foot (maximum) away from it!!!
  6. Hi all, I'm needing to purchase a new monitor, but it needs to be a bit of a jack of all trades type thing. It will be connected to my PC but also my Xbox One. Does anyone have any recommendations or experience with this? The PC will be used for some gaming, but mostly the Xbone will be used for that. Should I go for 1980x1080 or 2550x1440? There are so many options and opinions out there i'm going cross eyed!!! Thanks in advance Dave
  7. These still on? Might be interested if a wheel purchase i'm looking at goes through.... Dave
  8. Brilliant, thanks for the info - I'll have a look and see what I can do. I guess it will be similar with the door card as well? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Hi all Had the F/L Octy for a couple of months now, and i'm loving almost everything about it... apart from some serious rattles in the cabin. The drivers door card is continually squeaking/rattling, and there appears to be movement in the corner of the dash on the passenger side. I know a car can be noisy, but this is much much worse than my pre-f/l I had for several years (and had covered over 105k when I swapped it in). I think i'm more annoyed as this car has only done 20k!!! Any similar experiences/advice? Cheers in advance, Dave
  10. I'd take the 18's if they were £600..... Oh, and i'd need a garage/shed to store them as well! I know someone who may be interested - i'll give them a shout. Dave
  11. My pre f/l had exactly the same! Not sure about my new one. I'll have to check... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  13. Just have a Google - I'm looking at doing it at some point. From what I understand it changes the Manual mode to remove the kick down change and removes any automated changes so you can red line, and some remaps claim to increase shift speed by 20% etc etc. They also remove the software torque limit, so I think you would want to have the gearbox remapped before the ECU. Could be completely wrong though! HTH Dave
