it's the old problem, sick of burning my money Thinking of going back to diesel. Had a Vecta 2.5 sri sold that and brought a Focus TDCI (the old model) then sold that and brought the Octavia as I wanted power again, the old money saving part of the brain is kicking in again and thinking that another diesel is the way to go looking at the fabia vrs or the Ibiza fr its either that or stop pressing that right foot so hard lol.

I did the TB Adaptation via vag com is that the same thing?
-
I have cleaned the TB but not replaced the paper gasket, it looked ok. I will pop to a vag dealer and pick one up and swap it, do you think this is the problem?

Right would like to get to the bottom of this issue now, What would your guys suggest logging to try and find the fault So far I am going to relog 020 (for the MAF readings) What else do I need to log to get readings for the other sensors that might be causing this issue? Can you log the AIT? DV and N75 operation? and from the logs determain if it is working ok? There is still a judder/stutter when accelerating low down in the rev range.

Recently I have been getting this light come one when all doors are shut and the car is cold (i.e. just got in in the morning and the door light is still on) I have read from other posts that this can be due to water ingress in the drivers door? is there a guide for stripping the door down and drying it out before it gets any worse? if this is at all possible?

Right got all 4 changed for R versions and the judder low down is still there ARRGH. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this further? From my logs the MAF looks fine, There are not faults logged in VAGCom, are there further message blocks which could be run to log readings form other sensor that could be interpreted by someone on here. It would be great if I could get this stutter/judder low down resolved.

Just spoke to the dealer and they are going to change all 4 tommorrow (time to put the old one back in) looks like I will have a spare :-) Result, I will see how the judder and the MPG is once they have been changed.

I'll let you all know how I get on when I phone the dealer on Monday. :-)

Right after reading this http://www.briskoda.net/forums/octavia/ignition-coil-fail-rate-1-8t-engine/4365/3/?highlight=misfire it looks like all mine should of been replaced awhile back, how do I stand with getting the others changed foc? Should I contact Skoda UK? or the dealer? have we got the details on the bulliten so the dealer can look it up?

Just checked my other coil packs and the other 3 are all H versions, is this not the onnes that got recalled? Just did a couple of vag com logs and there according to block 16 there is a misfire on cyl 4 (see attached logs) what do you guys reckon? should I try and get Skoda to replace the other h versions? whould they do it even if the have been fine for 5 years? Right the car is back to how it was when I started the this thread, judder if you give it low throttle (fine if you floor it) not great when the wife and kids are in the car as I get told off for flooring it and the MPG is still on about 20mpg. The coil pack 2 has been repalced. I have cleaned the throttle body (as per the surging thread in the octavia forum) but I did not replace the paper gasket (as the local dealers did not have them in stock) it did look ok but I dont really know so I guess another trip to the biggest Audi garage in the uk (lol) for a piece of paper. The 1.8T common Troubleshooter states Poor Gas Mileage

sorry about the 2 thread's I am used to posting in IT forums where diffrent people read diffrent sections. the thread started out asking for help on the judder and mpg (problem still there), but while trying to diagnose I had the coil pack go and the new codes raised which was why I started the other thread. again, I was not aware it was an issue, sorry.
