  1. I thought it was just mine. My nano often loses charge and quite often the car "loses" the ipod and I find I have to disconnect and then reconnect the Nano to make it work. Interestingly my wifes Golf, same age, same style of MIDI lead etc has no problem with her mark 1 Ipod Nano. Could it be a head unit problem? I currently have a Bolero fitted to 2012 Octavia.
  2. Thanks for the quick replies, just hadn't noticed before and wondered if it was for towbar.
  3. Had to take a sofa to the charity shop today so loaded it into the rear of my 2012 Vrs hatchback. I couldn't quite close the boot so had to use some well wrapped bungees to keep the boot closed. When hooking the bungee to the bumper I noticed a rectangular cut out, underneath, in the centre of the bumper. Although I keep my car clean I must admit to never getting this far under the bumper. So my question, as per the title, "do they all have this?"
  4. 15000 on my fronts, factory fitted conti 2s, 22000 on the rear and they are nearing the point where they need changing. Replaced fronts with goodyears and they still have loads left after 7000 and are lots quieter too.
  5. Thanks for the help. Yes it has worked in the past. We tried an update but still ended up with the crossed out aerial[emoji34] It lists the stations just won't let us listen to them [emoji51] Looks like a trip to the dealers. Thanks again for the help.
  6. Hi all, before I go rushing off to the dealers with the works car maybe someone on the forum can help. The Columbus unit fitted to our Superb refuses to pick up any DAB stations. The stations are all listed and each one has an aerial sign with a line through it. The handbook as usual doesn't help. I have tried searching the forum to no avail. Am I missing something obvious or is the unit/aerial not working properly. We have tried resetting the unit to factory spec, this just clears the saved DAB stations. The car is only 6 months old so well within warranty. Thanks in advance for any advice.
  7. Used the mitt for the first time this weekend. So easy and what a difference it made. I could feel the paint getting smoother with each pass. Keep the paint and mitt nice and wet and it takes minutes to do the whole car
  8. Many thanks for the help, some nice thinking outside of the box. The link to JC looks promising.
  9. Hello all, just a flying visit from the Octy2 forum. I have been tasked with sorting out a decent set of seat covers for a new Superb estate (3.6 4x4) that we have bought for work. It has a nice leather interior at the moment. We need to find a set of hard wearing covers for the front and rears, although the front is more important at this time. Apart from the usual Aldi, Halfords etc has anyone found a custom set of seat covers for the Superb. Would a set made for the Audi A6 fit? Thanks in advance for the help.
  10. Just had my LED number plate lights coded by Phillips (AKA Zach). This is the first time I've used the forum to actually meet someone to modify my car. I searched the VCDS map this morning, sent a PM to Zach who replied within minutes and arranged to meet tonight. Great guy scanned my car, coded my lights then offered to change/add any other bits I wanted. A fantastic example of what the forum is about. Thanks Zach.
  11. Picked up my Dooka wash pad and wheel mitt yesterday from Rob. Top bloke, very chatty. Roll on the weekend so I can actually use them.
  12. I recently had the same problem with my 62 plate vrs, and, after checking the forum, decided to take it to the dealers. They replaced the rear wiper motor under warranty. Worth popping in if you are still in warranty.
