  1. Just reading this weeks "la vie de l'auto" ( weekly classic car newspaper) and notice there's a French registered 1989 Marlin for sale on French plates for 16 grand. Must be able to register yours if it's been done already - he's in Indre de Loire , might be worth calling him if you still want to register yours???
  2. We just had a similar issue with our 1960 TR3a; had to submit photos and fill a form for the FFVE (google FFVE for the forms etc) - send a cheque for 60 euros then wait for about eight weeks. Then it's the same process as "normal" using the FFVE cert in place of the CoC - not forgetting you need to get a control technique done (which is then every four years for a collection car) The CG still cost us 400 euros though. You don't need to display the CT sticker on your collectors car and you can put old black plates on it though.
  3. ....forgot to say; mine is a MY 2013 with a Bolero unit ( where, if I'm not listening to the ipod I use the SD card audio option, and never the multiple cd player!)
  4. No, you can pair a phone and a separate media device such as an ipod or an ipad. Go to the phone bluetooth settings menu, scroll down and you'll see the media pairing option. I have paired a choice of media devices which appear on a list inluding the phone ( if it has music on it), the ipod and my ipad - I just have to choose which one. The phone pairing ( to use the telephone options) stays separate. All in the manual.
  5. I use the beanbag mount also, prefer it to any of the other options; amazed how it stays put but it does all the time.
  6. One pairing will not work if the phone ( which is not the ipad) has been done previously - when the ipad is not the phone device you need to pair the audio device separately - I did it separately, that's maybe why my pad works just fine with the Bolero....
  7. My ipad works fine with the bolero via bluetooth; don't forget there are two bt pairing options - one for the phone the other for an audio device - check your manual for how to do it.
  8. I have a Travall too; superb
  9. I have the skoda one on mine - with dst it came off after a month! Re affixed it with tiger seal, no probs since
  10. Just for info - The 1.4 is available here (in France) 1000 euros more than the 1.2
  11. Why would anyone be barred from buying a deisel?? (Obvious "Clarkson type" reasons aside)....
  12. Had similar on mine, just when it's cold outside. On the move, I wedged my fingertip between the side of the dash and the top of the door panel (behind the A post), squeak went. So, I fixed a piece of thin black foam (loudspeaker front foam to be exact) with double sided tape on the side of the dash, between the dash and the door card; squeak has gone. Easily removed if need be but I cut the piece to fit and it is in no way unsightly. Maybe one should expect better on a new car, but that's the way it is - rather that than a trip to the stealers and a dash strip down in my opinion.
  13. Glad I read this: As a result I just cancelled my order for a new Ducati Panigale as it's got a1.2 engine producing 192bhp: that's got to be asking for trouble - than goodness it doesn't have a turbo too! :-)
