    Final update for this issue. I removed the dashboard to check if i could temporarily remove the light (for the MOT test) but as it was LEDs inside I just let it as it was. I put the dashboard back in place and everything was working fine! Shorted coolant sensor cables - light off, open cables Light on! It seems that it was a dashboard or connection problem.
    Since I got the MTO test an hour ago and everything was perfect, I would say problem solved (even if it starts blinking again!)
