I wouldn't let mileage put you off! That said to me its all about the owner and I find any well known forum member of the relevant forum will have looked after the car ten times better than a random sale.

Bought my MR2, Gixxer, VX220 and Fabia via forums and all have been epic.

  2. Awesome, good to see the old girl still going strong

Seems to be a machine (literally!)

I always service it with the basic stuff, always warm it up and cool it down and to be fair between 9 outta 10 times I use in traffic so barely get to stretch the old girl legs but for what it is, it a beast. Starts first time every time and just gets me to where I need to go!

Getting close to 50k usage and I really want to just keep it forever. I keep thinking oh I will sell it and get something else and each time I get back in the car and I am like why?! 50mpg everywhere, 200bhp so more than enough for daily use and this place!

Worth every penny so thanks man for making the car bullet proof! Said it before several times but a true credit to its previous owner!

  3. Cracking cars, love my skoda, just wish my wife did. She hates the VW suspension

I have to admit my Fabia is a little bit "crashy"

Jonny5 the last owner had springs on, but I replaced with some low mileage suspension a few years ago but its still a bit too harsh.

That said my missus loves it harsh.. jk. Well...

Next to the VX220... she can't complain!

  4. Bit of a bump for this as

Took it for its MOT today (3rd in my ownership I think?!)

With just shy of 189,000 miles on the clock and running 200bhp and 300lb.ft is passed with no issues at all.

In fact the tester asked me if I had run some fuel cleaner additive as the machine could barely pick anything up on the smoke test! To which I had replied no as I haven't.

Still a happy skoda owner :D

  5. Gear selector fork for sure. I had one go on my Ibiza FR when it had like 30k on the clock and limped it back home in 3rd.

2nd time it went I was changing into 4th down at Santa Pod ha. I drove it home too.

I took it down to Jabbasport who sent it off and stripped the box sorted it and accidentally put a A.T.B. differential in at the same time! Annoying around two month earlier I fitted a Helix SMF and organic clutch! Good luck mate.

  6. What a great read. Fair comments by the OP of all HIS OWN EXPERIENCES of companies he has used.

Its a shame some feel the need to poke at a change of tuner which the OP has made it clear as to why and to be fair, been very nice about it. Example you can clearly see on the video its an end list of products on the car. I once had a JBS/Custom Code *cough Revo* remap on my Ibiza, then a RS Tuning map. But if some one asked me to list my mods I wouldn't say them. I would say Jabbasport. Such a shame when even one of the best forums by a mile still gets the odd upset over a forum favourite not being the flavour of the month by the OP. There was a time on here when if any spoke badly of Jabbasport u'd bring on the hate, before that of a lot of the SEAT forums any bad mouthing of JBS used to also bring on the hate... interesting how things/companies change...

I love all these Yeti's with good power upgrades! Big respect for doing this and just like Mr Boss its not about the end power result but the road to get there! Love both you're cars for being so different to what they were!
