  1. tibsy's post in bleeding 1.9 felicia was marked as the answer   
    all sorted . i removed the  plastic valve and topped up the filter, refitted valve.
    Then i removed the feed pipe( next to nipple on pump) and attached a hand pump. After drawing fuel through to that point, i replaced pipe and cracked of a couple of  injectors slightly.
    After 2-3 short bursts off cranking she fired up and then i cracked /tightened each injector to make sure all the air was out!
