Featured Replies

Has anyone mounted driving lights on an Octavia II? Successfully?

Does anyone know if there any brackets available commercially?

Thanks

There are OE fitted fog lights mounted in the bumper but iam not sure about other lights though that you can fit.

Cibie Oscar :D

Cibie Auxiliary lighting

Where there is a will there is a way, and failing that there is a drill and a clamp on mounting to the crash bar through the top of the front bumper :D

They even do a HID one :)

Yep!! Actually, wombats are more the problem. I live just outside Melbourne among lots of great twisty roads, so spread-beam lights are a real asset, but they do help spot any wildlife earlier - some years back they saved me a very messed up car when a roo went into the side of the car rather than the front at 60mph.

I have some old Oscars, but my other car has Hella Rallye 1000s and they've got much better spread, which is what I need. Yes, bolting into the bumper is one way :)

Thanks. Yes - it used to be easy when cars had separate bumpers (he says showing his age!) :D

I saw an Octy 2 recently with aux. driving lamps fitted, so it can be done. Unfortunately it was just in the passing so didn't catch details.

How about a set of these mounted in the lower grille area of the bumper; probably effective and well styled/discreet;-

Lower grill probably won't give you the throw you want from driving lights.

To the OP are you after a wide or spot spread pattern on the beams?

I thought driving lamps are illegal below a certain height as only fogs must be mounted low,but i might be wrong:confused:
