Fantastic 1 owner Skoda 130L 5 speed ONLY 1,700 miles on eBay, also, Other Classic Cars, Classic Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 21-Jun-08 15:30:44 BST)

:DJust look at this car, its a real gem.If I remember right, it was offered for sale last year.It really is in time-warp condition, and in an attractive Sky Blue colour too.:)

There is also a 130 LSE thats got a years MOT on it too on ebay:

1988 SKODA 130 LSE BROWN on eBay, also, Skoda, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 17-Jun-08 19:39:17 BST)

Needs a bit of bodywork and the wheels need a refurb, but still a desirable model being a 130LSE, and if refurbed to a good standard, can't see why it shouldn't reach 4 figures come resale time.

SKODA S110 S SERIES on eBay, also, Skoda, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 18-Jun-08 18:06:25 BST)

S110L, Left hooker on Czech plates, but still rare nonetheless.Needs work but a great classic.:)

I might bid on the brown 130 lse, just for fun, if its inexpensive, might be worth an investment :)

:)The brown LSE was mine at one point, done a lot of miles, and looked rough, but was good.

I was hoping you'd 'pop up' because I don't know much about these cars, have e-mailed the guy, and got some close-up pictures, he says it drives fine... it does look rough, but that doesn't bother me, I'm thinking of it in terms of a "hobby"

you know, some new wings one weekend ect ect ;)

anything I should worry about? i.e. from when you had it?

edit: thinking about 1980's vehicals too, is it converted for unleaded? hardened valve seats ect? how much to tax?

thanks for any info dave :)

Tax will be pre march 2001 under 1.6 litres PLG which is currently £120 12 months, but no doubt will be £125 or £130 in April 09

I worked at a Skoda dealer in Bolton and never saw that low mileage one ever ! How has that one been hidden so well when my boss was RWD Skud friendly......along with me of course !!!!!

Well backs up the mileage on the clock if nothing else :D

Looks clean, but it will still need a full overhaul if it has not yet been done - brake cylinders, carb, head gasket (preventative at least) and then it will be a great car. However WOW:eek: look at the price already!

I know what you mean - I dont think I'd trust those original Skoda hose clips!:D

Mind you, the prices are rising sharply on them now, and I'd place a bet that your 105 LUX wouldn't be far off £1200 worth and rising judging by the piccies you posted in the MOT thread:thumbup:!

Does anybody know whats happened to that delta green 120L that Graham Boarer was selling last year with only 1,000 or so miles on it?

the car is, or was anyway, mechanically sound, but a little bit fussy to start in the cold/wet. dunno if dave got that sorted? the interior had a bit of long term abuse during its life but its all there, just dont expect minty fresh carpets or seats! bodywork isnt the best but not really any worse than any well used estelle, or indeed any 80s car. not a bad one all round imo, but would want a bit of tweaking and tlc if you wanted it to really be everything youd hoped.

(hope that's fair enough dave? ;) )

The mileometer stoppped working shortly after I bought it....when it'd done 274,000 miles. I never bothered fixing the mileometer [easy enough job], but it's worth mentioning because the mileage on the ebay advert says 74,000 miles.

It drove very well indeed when I had it, but the wipers didn't park [doesn't really matter]. Because it has done a lot of miles it was generally a bit rough round the edges and rattled and squeaked a bit, but to me that just made it even more characterful!

One of the sills was original, the other has been patched and I had a small amount of welding done to the N/s floor a couple of years ago.

I regret selling it TBH, it was one of those cars that was awful to look at, but was unbreakable.

Buy it mate..you'll love it! :D

Go on Sharky you know you want another skud!!!!!

Well, the 130L was bid to £2450 but didnt meet reserve. The only thing I would find daunting about spending that sort of money on a rear engined skoda is the fact that by driving it, I'd be adding to the low mileage and thus de-valuing its original appeal of a low mileage.By paying that sort of money, its the sort of car you keep only for shows and trailer it to them, else you will end up losing a fair chunk of your purchase costs should you ever wish to sell. But then, you dont get the enjoyment of driving it much.Swings and roundabouts I suppose.

Yeah see what you mean. Most of the car buying population will be interested in getting a car to drive. I'd pay a little more to drive something unique and low mileage, but I couldn't be persuaded to part with quite as much as £2450. Surprised the reserve was higher than that - have to wonder what it was.

Exactly.I think since that 130 Sport fetched a high price, some rear engined fans now think their car is worth £1500 plus whatever its condition/mileage etc.Prices are rising but they still only attract a limited market.

Personally, if I was spending upwards of £1500 on a Skoda for everyday use, it would be an early Fabia or Octavia that my money would be spent on due to the comfort and more modern road manners.

Oh well, its re-listed, see what it reaches this time around. To me, it has very limited appeal - if you buy it and use it regularly, its going to detract from its uniqueness, thus de-valuing it.Its really a die-hard rear engined fans car who wants the ultimate rear engined Skoda and has the sort of money spare it will probably command.

This car has been re-listed due to the purchaser backing out, his loss.

Interesting, given the reserve had not been met.

Interesting, given the reserve had not been met.

Yes, I noticed that too.

More like, 'Didn't reach the ridiculously high reserve I've put on it but some twit may be stupid enough to pay it if I keep on re-listing!':D

MEGA

reminds me of my mates dad 105LS. Which always smelled of strong cheese ! !

Should be remenbered in the same way as a 2cv6 & wouldn't a modern tdi version be a fab idea.

Get your photoshop going now............

Didn't sell after its re-list.Reached £2450 reserve not met 1st time round, £1800 reserve not met this time round.Back on again, £1000 start.See where it gets this time round.

I think that's about it's price really. If I was the seller I'd be well p***** I set the reserve above 2k the first time. He's probably killing off his market each time he lists it as unfortunately looks too much like a waste of time to bid on. I'd be betting it probably won't get bid up to £1,800.

I'd agree, the seller is clearly being greedy. £2450 I think was a bidding war not to be repeated.

 £2995 at the end of the auction:eek:

Thats only £600 off the OTR price new in 1987:eek:

Sorry, but you have to be a solid die-hard rear engined Skoda fan to pay that for one - my £2995 would go on a nice Fabia or Octavia:)

:)I'd pay that for a decent Estelle if I had the money. Mind you, I'm not quite right from the neck up generally speaking!:D

Its certainly a lot of money to pay, but whoever bought it has undoubtedly bought it as a 2nd or 3rd car for weekends/shows etc.....you'd have to be a pretty dull person to buy an Octavia or Fabia as a toy!!!
